Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Damhead Creek Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 Benefits: Pension, Private Medical, Incentive plan, 25 Holidays THE POSITION An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to be based at Damhead Creek (preferred), Rye House or Shoreham. As part of our Group Engineering Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of large-scale projects along with all Compliance Requirements associated with our mechanical, pressure systems & large rotating plant assets across the Portfolio. RESPONSIBILITIES • Reporting to a Mechanical Engineer Lead you will also assist in maintenance activities when required to keep the plant running round the clock to deliver for our customers., • You will be part of a team ensuring our assets comply with regulatory, industry and company best practices & standards, • Your input will be essential to ensure the company business objectives are met whilst maintaining & ensuring safe, reliant and profitable generation., • As part of our engineering team large scale maintenance projects, upgrades with flexibility and reliability driven focus will be part of your objectives, • Experience in Large Rotating Plant and/or HRSG Pressure System in large Industrial processes (Power Generation desirable), • Knowledge of relevant legislation, e.g. health & safety, environment and employment law, • Knowledge of budgets and contract management, • Educated to minimum HNC standard, with degree desired, • Understanding of engineering standards and legislation, • Solid understanding of work planning and the work control process, • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, • Aptitude for further business and technical training, • Ability to assist and support colleagues and promote co-operation., • Desire, aptitude and attitude to learn and develop and share your knowledge and experience with colleagues, • Embraces change and ability to adapt self and others to new situations / working methods, • Flexible approach applying your skills to meet the business needs., • Promotes business ethics with high regard to Environmental and Safety factors Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, • Ability to handle multiple work projects running together as the business need arises, • Organises own workload, • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, • Ability to work as part of a small team, encourage collaborative working relationships, • Valid Driving Licence and prepared to work at multiple sites Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
