Product Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) Full-time | Hybrid in-office Cardiff, London, or remote UK Who We Are iAltA Holdings is a next-generation financial services ecosystem purpose-built to power the future of private markets. Our portfolio of companies spans data infrastructure, regulated entities, payments capabilities, and investment services, serving General Partners (GPs), Limited Partners (LPs), and the broader capital markets ecosystem. We build and scale foundational systems that enable capital to move more intelligently, transparently, and efficiently across asset classes. iAltA Holdings serves as the strategic and operational backbone of this ecosystem; we incubate companies, align shared services, deploy capital, and drive innovation across the platform. iAltA’s Core Values · Intentional, but Opportunistic – We Say Yes! · Adaptability · Loyalty · Team First, Ego Last · Always Learning About the Opportunity The lines between product management, design, and engineering are blurring fast, and we think that's a good thing. AI-enabled tools have collapsed the distance between defining a problem and building a working solution. A product person who can prototype, test, and ship without waiting on a traditional handoff cycle can move at a fundamentally different speed. We're building a team around that premise. We're hiring Product Engineers: people with strong product judgment and domain curiosity who are using AI to work across the full stack of product development. You might come from a Senior PM background and recognize that the most impactful version of your role right now is one where you're closer to the build. You might come from engineering and have always thought more about the problem than the ticket. Either way, you're someone who's actively experimenting with how AI changes the way products get made, and you want to be in an environment that takes that seriously. Our platforms serve fund managers, investors, and fund administrators across complex financial workflows: onboarding, subscription, capital calls, payments, reporting, and more. The domain is deep, but it's never been more learnable on the job. If you're genuinely curious and know how to use AI to accelerate your learning curve, we care more about your trajectory than your resume's keyword match to private markets. What You’ll Do Own Problems End-to-End You don't hand off a spec and wait. You identify the problem, understand the workflow, define the approach, prototype a solution, and work with the team to ship it. You're comfortable operating across the full lifecycle, from discovery through delivery, and you take ownership of outcomes, not just outputs. Build and Prototype with AI You use AI-enabled tools (Cursor, Replit, Claude, vibe coding, whatever works) to move from insight to working artifact fast. You can produce functional prototypes that test real hypotheses, not just illustrate ideas. You're opinionated about which tools actually create velocity and which are noise, and you stay current as the landscape shifts. This is core to how you work, not a side interest. Think in Systems and Workflows You understand how complex, multi-step processes work across roles, entities, permissions, and configurations. You reason about data models, API boundaries, and downstream effects before committing to a direction. You're the kind of person who asks "what happens when this breaks?" before anyone else in the room. Learn the Domain Aggressively Private markets, fund administration, investor operations: this is a specialized domain with real complexity. You don't need to arrive as an expert, but you need to learn fast and build working fluency that informs your product decisions. You use AI to accelerate that learning, whether that's digesting regulatory frameworks, mapping industry workflows, or understanding how fund structures actually work. Push the Envelope on Methodology You're not just adopting new tools, you're thinking critically about how the SDLC itself is changing. What does planning look like when prototyping is nearly free? How do specs, code, and design converge? When does vibe coding work and when does it fall apart? You bring a point of view and you test it, sharing what you learn with the team. Collaborate Across Disciplines Even as roles blur, you work well with engineers, designers, and other PMs. You know when to go deep on your own and when to bring others in. You communicate clearly about tradeoffs, constraints, and decisions, and you make the people around you more effective. What You Bring · Several years of experience in product management, product engineering, or a hybrid role where you owned both the problem definition and meaningful parts of the solution. · Active, demonstrable use of AI tools in your product workflow. Not theoretical interest. Show us what you've built, how you work, what you've learned. · The ability to reason about technical architecture, data models, and system constraints, whether you came up through engineering or developed that fluency as a PM. · Strong product judgment. You can prioritize, make tradeoffs, and explain your reasoning to technical and non-technical stakeholders. · A learning orientation. You pick up new domains, tools, and methods quickly and you don't wait to be taught. · Clear written communication. Your specs, documents, and decisions are precise and actionable. Even better if you have: · Experience in private markets, fund administration, wealth management, or adjacent financial services. · Experience with full-stack prototyping or building working software (with or without AI assistance). · Experience in a high-change environment where methodology and tooling are evolving rapidly. · Comfort operating with significant autonomy in an ambiguous, fast-moving context. What We Offer · A role built for the way product work is evolving, not the way it was structured five years ago. · Real autonomy to shape how you work and what tools you use. · A team that's serious about AI-enabled methods and wants to learn together, not just talk about it. · Complex, meaningful domain work in private markets infrastructure. · Flexibility to work hybrid from Cardiff (preferred) or remotely within the UK. Compensation & Benefits · A competitive base salary based on experience and location · Equity participation · Flexible time off policies Additional Information This job description is not exhaustive; other duties may be assigned as needed. A background check may be conducted following a conditional offer of employment. iAltA is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a high-performing healthy culture and environment for all employees.
