The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet company quality standards, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and relevant industry requirements. The QC Inspector will carry out inspections, record inspection results, identify non-conformances, and work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured Right First Time. • Perform inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality procedures., • Carry out visual, dimensional and functional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, surface finish testers, CMM if applicable)., • Complete inspection records, checklists and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner., • Ensure all products are inspected prior to despatch and released only when quality requirements have been met., • Verify material certification, inspection reports and documentation where required., • Identify, record and segregate non-conforming products and materials., • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs & CAIR) and support investigations into quality issues., • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions., • Support continuous monitoring of production quality and report recurring issues or trends., • Ensure inspection equipment is used correctly and report any calibration issues., • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and company procedures., • Ensure traceability records are completed where applicable., • Support internal and external quality audits by providing inspection records and evidence of compliance., • Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects., • Identify opportunities to improve inspection methods, quality documentation and manufacturing processes., • Provide feedback to the QHSE Manager on recurring quality concerns., • Assist with customer inspections and supplier quality activities as required., • Carry out any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role., • Previous experience in a Quality Control or Inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment., • Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications., • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems., • Understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly., • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and documentation., • Competent in the use of inspection and measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators and gauges., • Ability to accurately read engineering drawings and tolerances., • Strong attention to detail with excellent record keeping skills., • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify quality concerns., • Competent in Microsoft Office applications., • Knowledge of MRP systems will be ideal (CIM50)., • Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification preferred., • Internal Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance training would be advantageous (ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards)., • Excellent attention to detail., • Quality-focused mindset., • Strong organisational skills., • Good verbal and written communication skills., • Team player with the ability to work independently., • Self-motivated and reliable., • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement., • Professional and methodical approach to work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
