Their platform has already been used in over 7,000 life-critical transplant procedures worldwide. Backed by a global healthcare leader and spun out of a world-renowned UK university, this is a rare opportunity to build and own the engineering infrastructure behind software that genuinely matters. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and manage an IEC 62304 compliant CI/CD pipeline across the full software development lifecycle. You will own the toolchain, drive automation and work closely with embedded, digital and data science teams in a regulated medical device environment. What you will be doing: • Designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment in line with IEC 62304, IEC 13485 and FDA regulations, • Automating build, packaging and release processes to produce repeatable and fully traceable artefacts, • Managing version control, branching strategies, pull requests and peer review enforcement, • Provisioning and maintaining cloud, on-premise or hybrid infrastructure including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, • Supporting traceability from requirements through to code, build and deployment for audit and regulatory review, • Coaching cross-functional teams on DevOps best practices and enabling developer productivity through self-service tooling, • Contributing to root cause analysis, incident response and continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability What we are looking for: • Proven experience building and maintaining DevOps infrastructure for safety critical or regulated software, ideally under IEC 62304; aerospace or automotive backgrounds are also welcome, • Strong hands on experience with Git, Azure DevOps and pipeline as code using YAML, • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python or Bash for build automation and deployment workflows, • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi or Bicep, • Understanding of software tool qualification obligations, design control and DHF documentation, • A security conscious approach to infrastructure, applying least privilege principles and handling secrets with appropriate rigour, • Degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline Apply if you want to use your technical skills to make a genuinely positive impact!
