Role – Site Manager Location – Oxford, UK Mint Selection are working with a leading developer who are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join them on a 6 month contract for a utility scale energy project in Oxford. Scope of Work • Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and programme requirements, • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors across civil, mechanical and electrical installation packages, • Oversee installation of renewable energy equipment including mounting systems, plant rooms, inverters, cabling and associated infrastructure in line with approved method statements and RAMS, • Ensure all activities comply with CDM Regulations, Permit to Work systems and company procedures, • Monitor progress against programme and report delays, risks and site issues to the Project/Construction Manager, • Implement and maintain site safety procedures including inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and behavioural safety standards, • Liaise with the client, designers, DNO representatives and stakeholders to coordinate works and resolve technical queries, • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet drawings, specifications and commissioning requirements, • Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, progress tracking, permits and handover records, • Coordinate deliveries, logistics, lifting operations, temporary works and work sequencing, • Support testing, commissioning and energisation activities alongside commissioning engineers, • Identify construction risks and implement mitigation measures to ensure safe and efficient project delivery, • Provide client-facing reporting including progress updates and site meetings where required Requirements • Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on construction, infrastructure or energy projects (renewable, utilities, substations or M&E environments), • Experience managing both civil works and M&E installation activities, • Understanding of electrical infrastructure installation (cable routes, containment, plant equipment, testing and commissioning interfaces), • Experience supervising multiple subcontract trades on a live construction site, • Strong understanding of RAMS, permits and site safety procedures, • SMSTS certification, • CSCS Manager/Supervisor card, • First Aid qualification, • Good communication, coordination and reporting skills, • Ability to manage programme, sequencing and subcontractor performance Contract: 6-month contract (outside IR35) Working Pattern: Full-time on site, 5 days per week, 10 Hour Days If interested, please apply within or contact Harry Arnold for further information.
