Commercial Assistant - Chichester The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Our client, a well-established and growing construction business based in the Chichester area, is looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to support their commercial and project teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in commercial management, with exposure across the full project lifecycle-from tender stage through to final account. Working closely with directors and project teams, you will play a key role in supporting tendering, estimating, procurement, and cost control across multiple projects. Remuneration • Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience), • Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), • Company pension scheme, • On-site parking, • Assist with preparation of tender submissions, • Support measurement and take-offs from drawings, • Assist with cost estimates and build-ups, • Compile and organise tender documentation, • Assist with scopes of work and tender packages, • Support preparation of specifications and project information, • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors during tender stage, • Support preparation and review of project budgets and cost plans, • Assist with cost tracking and cost value reporting, • Support preparation of interim valuations, • Maintain variation registers and track project changes, • Assist with pricing variations and change events, • Assist with preparation and issue of enquiries, • Obtain and organise supplier and subcontractor quotations, • Assist with quotation comparisons and cost analysis, • Support procurement of subcontract packages and materials, • Maintain procurement schedules, • Maintain commercial and project documentation, • Assist with preparation of reports and project information, • Support project teams with commercial queries, • Experience within construction or a commercial environment, • Understanding of estimating, procurement, and cost control, • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, • Confident working with drawings and cost information, • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
