The Role:We are looking for someone with a keen interest for running and events to join a passionate and growing company. Job description:As Senior Venues Manager, you will be working directly with our event management team to deliver cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events across the UK. You shall complete the daily tasks of event management to include, but not restricted to event planning and documentation, venue management, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to the preparation and delivery of events. Key Roles and Responsibilities Event Delivery:Collaborate with the event team to plan and execute eventsLeading the team on event days, managing staff, contractors and participants to ensure events run smoothly and to the highest standard.Interacting with the wider running community to enhance reputation and engagementActive participation in debriefs after events Venue Management:Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors etcCreate and update event management plans, risk assessments, planning and briefing documentsComplete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applicationsLead team planning and briefing meetings Team Management:Line management of a small team Person Specification:The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in live events, an interest in running/sport and be a fast learner.They will be comfortable speaking to people from different industries, building relationships and developing relationships with new and existing stakeholders. Essential:Passionate about physical activity and running.Able to work to strict deadlines and calm under pressureExcellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.Previous line management experience.Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.Willing to work on weekends on a rota basis (average of 2 weekends per month)Excellent organisation skills & a keen eye for detailKnowledge of the U.K running industry.Full UK Manual Driving Licence and willing to drive a van Desirable Attributes:Experience working live eventsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience, preferred)Previous experience in managing relationships with venues, councils, or other clients.Coaching and volunteer experience.Working within a multidisciplinary team.
