Job Title: L1 SOC Analyst – Shift Lead 🚨 The Opportunity We’re looking for a motivated SOC Analyst ready to take the next step into a Shift Lead position. Based in a 24/7 Security Operations Centre, you’ll lead from the front – monitoring, investigating, and escalating cyber incidents while mentoring junior analysts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. What’s in it for you? • Step up into a leadership role and have a real impact on SOC performance and team development., • Work with cutting-edge tools and technologies – SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and more., • Grow your career with funded training, certifications, and structured progression into senior roles. 🔐 What you’ll be doing: • Monitoring and analysing security alerts from multiple sources (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls)., • Performing triage, classifying incidents, and escalating where necessary., • Taking ownership of tickets and ensuring clear documentation., • Acting as the first point of escalation for L1 analysts during shifts., • Leading on-shift performance (KPIs, resource allocation, handovers)., • Training and mentoring new analysts., • Staying ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities. 🛠 What we’re looking for: • At least 12 months’ hands-on experience in a SOC analyst role., • Networking and technical troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused approach., • Strong knowledge of cyber threats, risks, and the current security landscape., • Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical issues for any audience., • A collaborative, self-motivated team player with a passion for continuous learning. 🎁 What you’ll get: • £30,000 basic + 15% shift allowance., • Paid training and certifications., • A clear pathway to progress both technically and into leadership., • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced 24/7 SOC environment.
