SEN Sixth Form Teacher - PMLD & Physical Disabilities Location: Kirkham/ Preston Pay: Dependent on experience Specialist SEN School | Post-16 We are recruiting an SEN Sixth Form Teacher for a specialist school supporting students with PMLD and physical disabilities. Learners are post-16 in age but working developmentally at around Year 2 level, following highly personalised programmes. The role includes: • Delivering structured, sensory-aware lessons focused on communication, life skills and independence, • Supporting pupils with complex needs in a calm, nurturing environment, • A qualified or experienced SEN teacher, • Experience with PMLD, complex needs or physical disabilities, • A patient, flexible and compassionate approach, • Supportive leadership and excellent SEN resources, • Ongoing CPD and specialist training

At the moment, we are receiving an extremely high demand for teaching assistants and specifically qualified teaching assistants (level 2 or 3). This is for a variety of roles in differing age ranges (EYFS-Y6) and differing roles (general class TA, 1:1 TA, SEN TA, Intervention group TA). With such a high volume of work we are confident we can find you the role you desire. Level 2 or 3 TA Requirements Be able to work alongside class teacher and other support staff Provide constructive feedback regarding pupil progression Assist in making the work accessible for all learners Providing a safe, engaging, and enjoyable work environment for all pupils Be able to work as part of a team and independently if necessary Use a variety of different resources according to the teachers plans Flexibility to be able to switch roles within the classroom is needed to Passion for working with young people and the want to provide them with the best education experience possible Ability to build relationships quickly but also set clear boundaries with pupils Follow and implement the school's behaviour policiesThese positions are available for all level 2 or 3 qualified teaching assistants.
