Student Support Worker \n £14.53 per hour \n Start: September 2026 \n Interviews: ASAP \n Supreme Recruitment is working in partnership with one of West London's leading Further Education Colleges to recruit Student Support Workers on a temporary ongoing basis. \n This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside a dedicated and experienced Inclusion team, providing both 1:1 and small group support across a range of curriculum areas, including English and Maths. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Provide classroom support to students with additional learning needs.\n, • Deliver 1:1 and small group support, adapting your approach to meet individual learning requirements.\n, • Support students with English, Maths and vocational studies.\n, • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.\n, • Work closely with lecturers and the Inclusion team to implement support plans.\n, • Monitor student progress and provide feedback where appropriate.\n, • Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.\n, • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and college policies.\n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Student Support Worker or Support Worker supporting children, young people or adults with SEN.\n, • Good understanding of a range of additional needs.\n, • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n, • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n, • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures.\n, • Flexible, reliable and professional approach.\n, • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).\n, • Available to start in September 2026.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Experience within a Further Education or education setting.\n, • Experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties.\n, • First Aid or Team Teach training (advantageous but not essential).\n\n Supreme Recruitment and our client are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
