We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a leading facilities management company, working on a prestigious, high-end commercial property in the heart of Knightsbridge. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fabric Engineer to work within a professional, high-spec environment, alongside an established M&E team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the building fabric to a consistently high standard, ensuring the site remains safe, functional and aesthetically exceptional. \n This is a static, Monday–Friday position with a fixed working pattern and excellent opportunities for long-term progression. \n Duties: \n\n • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and routine fabric inspections across the property.\n, • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and resolving building fabric issues efficiently.\n, • Complete a wide range of general fabric works, including:\n, • Carpentry repairs to doors, hinges, locks, skirting, architraves and fixtures.\n, • Patch plastering and plasterboard repairs.\n, • High-quality painting and decorating.\n, • Basic plumbing, including unblocking, tap replacements and minor leak repairs.\n, • Minor electrical fabric support, including lamp changes and replacement of socket faceplates.\n, • Carry out fire door inspections, adjustments and minor repairs in line with site requirements and compliance standards.\n, • Undertake minor tiling, flooring repairs, sealant works, gap filling and general aesthetic maintenance.\n, • Replace damaged ceiling tiles and investigate minor leaks within suspended ceiling systems.\n, • Conduct daily site walks and identify defects or areas requiring attention.\n, • Maintain accurate site logbooks and maintenance records.\n, • Liaise professionally with contractors, clients and site personnel.\n, • Support the wider M&E maintenance team when required.\n, • Maintain the high presentation standards expected within a premium commercial property.\n\n Requirements \n\n • Proven experience working as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Building Fabric Technician within a commercial environment.\n, • Strong practical knowledge across general building fabric disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and decorating.\n, • Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance.\n, • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and respond effectively to maintenance requests.\n, • Good understanding of fire doors and general building compliance requirements.\n, • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.\n, • Professional approach with strong attention to detail, particularly important when working within a high-end commercial environment.\n\n Salary & Package \n\n • £38,000 – £42,000 per annum\n, • Monday – Friday, fixed working pattern\n, • Static position in a prestigious Knightsbridge commercial property\n, • 25 days annual leave\n, • Company pension scheme\n, • Overtime opportunities available\n, • Excellent internal progression opportunities\n, • Opportunity to work within a high-spec, premium commercial environment\n, • Supportive and established M&E facilities team\n\n If you are an experienced Fabric Engineer looking for a stable, Monday–Friday role within a prestigious Knightsbridge commercial property, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a market-leading organisation
