A waiter or a waitress belong to the hospitality industry and are usually employed in hotels, restaurants, cafes, coffeehouses, bars, pubs and such. This role entails taking, handling and managing food and drink orders for all customers.

A waiter or waitress’s core task is to ensure that the customer has a pleasant experience at the establishment where they work.
