World Class Defence Organisation based in Bolton, Lancashire is currently looking to recruit a number of Manufacturing Controller subcontractors on an initial 12 month contract. \n This role requires someone with Stores experience within a manufacturing environment. \n Candidates with experience in roles such as Manufacturing Controller, Materials Controller, Logistics Coordinator, Inventory Controller, Production Controller, Production Coordinator, Material Planner, Stores Controller, Warehouse Controller, Goods In/Goods Out Coordinator, Supply Chain Administrator or Stock Controller may also have relevant transferable experience. \n Hourly Rate: £25.38ph, after 12 weeks the rate increases to £26.70ph. Overtime hours (over 37 hours) are at normal hourly rate plus 50% Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week, are worked at the Overtime rate of time and a half. Contract Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter) \n Manufacturing Controller Job Description: \n The Manufacturing Controller role will involve issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment. \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control.\n, • Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules.\n, • Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling.\n, • Updating computer records.\n, • Kitting activity.\n, • Loading and unloading of Lorries.\n\n \n Skillset/experience required: \n\n • Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.\n, • Follow instructions.\n, • Willing to work flexible shift patterns.\n, • Attention to detail.\n, • Work on own with minimal supervision.\n, • Use own initiative.\n, • Manual handling training.\n, • Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).\n, • ESD training.\n\n \n Desirable skills: \n\n • PC skills, including EXCEL.\n, • Fork lift truck licence.\n, • Knowledge of Kanban and 2 bin systems.\n, • Experience with an Enterprise Planning System e.g. SAP.\n
