Job Description: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity while maintaining inventory control. This role requires strong leadership skills to train and mentor team members, enforce operational standards, and collaborate with cross-functional departments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a commitment to operational excellence and a "can-do" attitude. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts., • Ensure quantities and quality of received shipments is accurate and logged correctly., • Manage stock rotation and replenishment to prevent expired or obsolete goods., • Coordinate inventory transfers between departments to meet production and shipping demands. Staff Supervision: • Assign tasks and create daily schedules for warehouse staff to meet operational goals., • Train and mentor new employees on warehouse procedures, inventory systems, and safety protocols., • Evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues., • Enforce company policies and manage disciplinary actions as needed. Warehouse Operations: • Oversee receiving, picking, packing to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment., • Ensure proper labelling, handling, and storage of products in designated locations., • Optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation to enhance operational efficiency., • Collaborate with customer service, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth operations. Safety and Compliance: • Enforce safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a safe working environment., • Conduct regular safety inspections and investigate safety incidents promptly., • Maintain compliance with HSE standards and other regulatory requirements. Reporting and Analysis: • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and productivity., • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement process changes to increase efficiency. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively., • Proven experience in warehouse operations, order fulfilment, and inventory management., • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft applications., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments., • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude toward new challenges., • High levels of accountability, confidentiality, and integrity., • Forklift operation certification preferred. Years of Experience: • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or assembly operations. The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, working 7:30am to 4:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is £15.50.
