Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor Location: Within 1 hour of West Thurrock / South Side of the River Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE) Role Overview We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and groundworks contractor. This role is ideal for individuals early in their QS career who are looking for hands-on project exposure, stability, and a clear pathway for progression. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing and managing project cost estimates, valuations, and commercial reports, • Support senior QS staff with measurements, BOQs, and site assessments, • Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance, • Assist in subcontract procurement, package management, and payment processes, • Maintain accurate documentation and commercial records, • Ideally some QS experience or understanding of groundworks/civil engineering, • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or similar, • Strong numeracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail, • Good communicator with a willingness to learn, • Salary up to £36,000 based on experience, • Excellent long-term growth and development opportunities, • After 3 years, employees become eligible for:, • Company car, • Enhanced benefits package, • Supportive environment focused on developing junior staff
