Full-time, Permanent | 1 on / 2 off shift pattern | Includes sleep-ins where required About the Home We are a newly registered and operational children’s home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home has recently opened, making this an exciting opportunity to join a new service at an early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping its culture, routines, and day-to-day practice. This is a full-time position, and we are looking for committed individuals who are able to contribute immediately to the service, support children through consistent care, and work as part of a developing and reflective team. The Role As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key part in creating a warm, nurturing, and stable home for a child aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. You’ll provide care that enables them to feel safe, develop life skills, and reach their full potential whether that’s helping with school routines, encouraging hobbies and community activities, or simply being a trusted adult they can rely on. What You’ll Do • Provide high quality, child centred care and emotional support., • Build positive, trusting relationships with children., • Support daily routines, including school, activities, and appointments., • Be a positive role model, encouraging independence and resilience., • Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning., • Work collaboratively with your team to maintain a safe, homely, and inclusive environment., • A caring, patient, and resilient approach., • Experience in children’s residential care or a similar setting., • Or someone who may not have direct experience, but considers themselves emotionally intelligent, authentic, and able to naturally connect with others, • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)., • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills., • A willingness to learn, reflect, and develop, we’ll support you every step of the way.
