Here at Rainbows Childrens Hospice we provide specialist palliative care and end-of-life support to over 750 Babies Children and Young People living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions as well as approximately 3000 people including families siblings and carers across the East Midlands. Simply put were here to brighten short lives and support families wherever they are. Families of babies children and young people with serious or terminal conditions are often overwhelmed by the challenges of complex healthcare needs numerous professionals and appointments and the ongoing impact on family life. Thats why we offer care and support at home helping families navigate these challenges with compassion. We are currently seeking a Deputy Lead Nurse (Band 6) to join our dedicated Hospice at Home team. This role supports the delivery and development of our expanding service providing high-quality care for babies children and young people in their own homes. Location: This role will require you to travel and work around the East Midlands focused on our Kettering & Northamptonshire case load. However you will be required to cover the other 4 counties as well of: Leicestershire Nottinghamshire Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Hours of work: 37.5 over 7 days with the occasional requirement to start early or finish later due to the needs of a family and the flexibility to do nights upon discussion. There will also be the occasional need to be on call when required by external community services in response to urgent referrals. Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to): • Managing and maintaining your own caseload across the East Midlands., • Undertaking assessments and reviews of clinical care and support whilst being perceptive to changing physical and emotional needs., • Contribute to leadership development training and planning.
