Job DescriptionJob Title: CNC Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with expertise in CNC setup and operation, particularly in 3 and 4 axis milling. Familiarity with 5 axis milling is a plus. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with extremely tight tolerances and possess a working knowledge of interpreting blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Responsibilities • Operate and set up milling machines., • Interpret blueprints and shop layouts according to company specifications., • Utilize inspection tools to perform minor quality checks, using calipers, micrometers, and gages., • Document results accurately., • Work with 10ths of an inch with GD&T metrics, ensuring adherence to very tight tolerances.Essential Skills, • CNC setup and operation experience., • Proficiency in 3 and 4 axis milling (5 axis is a plus)., • Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances., • Working knowledge of interpreting blueprints and GD&T.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Basic to intermediary math skills., • Certificate or degree preferred but not necessary., • 3-4 years of experience working on mills and/or lathes.Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work alongside about 30 other CNC Operators, primarily focusing on mills, in an environment that separates mill and lathe operations. There are two positions available for the 1st shift, which runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The 2nd shift operates from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, offering a 4-day workweek with 10-hour days. The dress code is business casual, but steel toe boots are a must. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
