Role Overview Western Weather Group is seeking a detail-oriented employee to join the accounting team as an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor and customer transactions and for maintaining the general ledger. This role requires a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Applicants must also possess the ability to apply their technical accounting knowledge. This position is Responsibilities Accounts Receivable • Accurate and timely processing of customer invoices in our ERP system., • Accurate and timely entry of customer payments into the ERP system., • Follow up with customers on past due invoices/balances., • Revise and adjust invoices when necessary., • Ensure the delivery of invoices to customers via email and/or customer Total Spend Management systems., • Accurate and timely processing, coding, and entering of vendor bills into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system., • Record approved credit card purchases in our ERP system., • Process and prepare accounts payable (AP) and vendor reports., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in our ERP system., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in our ERP system., • Complete credit applications for new vendors., • Collaborate with the Sales department to gather the needed information from new customers so that they may be added appropriately to our ERP system., • Perform monthly reconciliation of AR, AP, bank, and credit card accounts., • Manage and respond to vendor inquiries., • Manage and respond to customer inquiries.
