About Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL) Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL), formerly Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. Serving 29 counties across Florida, RTGFL provides safe and healthy housing for low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, and families in need. Through home rehabilitation, disaster recovery, and community revitalization programs, we strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life for those who need it most. As RTGFL continues to expand statewide, the organization is strengthening its financial infrastructure to ensure responsible stewardship of public, private, and philanthropic funding. Position Summary RTGFL is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial oversight across the organizations housing rehabilitation, disaster recovery, and community revitalization programs. This role plays an important part in grant financial management, program budgeting, and project-level financial tracking to ensure funding is properly allocated and program spending remains aligned with approved budgets. Working closely with Finance, Construction, and Program teams, the Financial Analyst supports financial transparency, grant compliance, and leadership decision-making while helping ensure the organization maintains strong financial stewardship across its growing programs. Key Responsibilities Grant Financial Management & Reporting • Track and manage restricted grant funding across programs, projects, and funding sources., • Monitor grant budgets to ensure spending aligns with approved grant budgets and funding requirements., • Monitor grant utilization and spending timelines to ensure funds are expended in accordance with grant agreements and reimbursement requirements, proactively identifying risks of underutilization, delayed reimbursement, or funding expiration., • Maintain organized financial documentation required for grant monitoring, reporting, and audits., • Collaborate with Program Managers and Development staff to ensure grant budgets align with project implementation and funding timelines. Program & Construction Budget Oversight • Develop and maintain program and project-level budgets for housing rehabilitation, disaster recovery, and capital initiatives., • Track budget-to-actual performance across active programs and projects., • Identify potential budget variances, funding gaps, and cost overruns, and communicate findings to leadership., • Assist Program Managers in understanding and managing financial performance within approved budgets., • Support financial review of construction expenditures, contractor payments, and project costs., • Analyze historical project and program cost data to improve budget forecasting, cost planning, and financial decision-making., • Support financial tracking and review of project change orders to ensure alignment with approved project budgets and funding sources. Financial Analysis & Reporting • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports related to program activity, grant utilization, and project expenditures., • Develop financial dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into:, • Budget vs. actual spending, • Project cost trends, • Funding source allocation, • Program financial performance, • Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting to support operational planning and decision-making., • Assist the CFO with financial reporting and presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors., • Prepare financial summaries, dashboards, and analysis used by the CFO and CEO to evaluate program performance, funding utilization, and organizational financial trends., • Develop and monitor financial performance metrics such as cost per home, project efficiency indicators, and program cost trends to provide leadership with insight into operational performance. Financial Oversight Support • Assist the CFO in reviewing financial data to ensure accurate coding and allocation of program expenses across grants and projects., • Review program and project expenses to ensure accurate classification and alignment with approved budgets., • Help identify financial discrepancies, unusual spending patterns, or potential compliance concerns. Financial Systems & Process Improvement • Strengthen financial coordination between Finance, Construction, and Program teams., • Develop standardized budget templates, financial tracking tools, and reporting structures for program managers., • Assist with improving financial tracking processes within QuickBooks, Excel models, and internal reporting systems., • Recommend process improvements that strengthen internal financial controls and reporting accuracy. Audit & Compliance Support • Assist with preparation of documentation and financial schedules required for annual audits and funder reviews., • Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting schedules for grants, programs, and projects to ensure readiness for audits, monitoring visits, and funder reporting requirements., • Ensure financial records support grant compliance, internal controls, and nonprofit accounting standards. Qualifications Required • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, • 35+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or program financial management, • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, • Experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and variance analysis, • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines, • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff Preferred • Experience in a grant-funded nonprofit environment, • Experience with construction budgeting or job costing, • Familiarity with fund accounting principles, • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software, • Experience supporting grant reimbursement or financial compliance reporting Core Competencies • Financial analysis and budgeting, • Grant compliance and financial stewardship, • Strong organizational and project management skills, • Collaborative communication across departments, • High integrity and accountability, • Commitment to mission-driven financial management Why Join RTGFL?
