CPAM Global is a shared services organization providing centralized finance, accounting, HR, and operational support to multiple operating companies within project-based industries. Our focus is on consistency, accuracy, and scalable processes that support growth across our portfolio. We are expanding our accounting team and are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Jr. Project Accountant to join our Warren, NJ office with 2–3 years of accounting experience (or equivalent). The ideal candidate will have exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition, project-based accounting, and experience working in a multi-entity environment. This role will support month-end and project-close processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Why CPAM Global? At CPAM Global, we offer a collaborative environment where employees can grow and gain exposure across multiple businesses: • Shared Services Exposure: Gain hands-on experience supporting multiple operating companies and complex accounting structures., • Career Development: Build expertise in revenue recognition, project accounting, and multi-entity financial reporting., • Collaborative Culture: Work closely with finance, operations, project management, legal, and leadership teams., • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and paid holidays., • Company Perks: Team lunches, weekly breakfast, and company celebrations., • Assist with applying ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, including contract review, identification of performance obligations, transaction price determination, and revenue allocation., • Support project-based accounting, including cost tracking, billing, revenue and cost accruals, change orders, and work in progress (WIP)., • Perform bank reconciliations., • Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliations., • Support accounts payable, including invoice review, accurate project and company coding, and timely processing., • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring accurate and timely project-level revenue and cost recognition., • Support project budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis., • Collaborate with Project Managers, Legal, and Billing teams to ensure contract terms are accounted for appropriately., • Maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition and project accounting processes; assist with internal and external audits., • Help improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience; project-based accounting experience strongly preferred., • Working knowledge of ASC 606., • Understanding of accounts payable workflows and project-based expense coding., • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Deltek, Sage, NetSuite, Procore)., • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines., • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Nice to Have (but Not Required):, • Experience in a shared services or multi-entity accounting environment., • Exposure to AEC or other project-based industries., • Experience handling change orders or contract modifications., • Cost accounting or overhead allocation experience., • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • Light to moderate lifting may be required.Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
