Job Description HR GENERALIST POSITION OBJECTIVE The HR Generalist — Corporate Learning and Development is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Learning Management System and Corporate Learning and Development programs. This role provides dedicated support for LMS administration, course maintenance, instructional design, training records, learning analytics, leadership development tracking, training coordination, and enterprise learning governance. This position serves as a key resource for New Jersey division training coordinators and site training personnel in Texas and Baton Rouge. The role is responsible for helping ensure that learning assignments, training records, course content, completion tracking, and training reports are accurate, consistent, and aligned with business needs. The position also supports Corporate Human Resources by assisting with leadership development follow-up, manager enablement, compliance training administration, course updates, LMS troubleshooting, and instructional redesign of training materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, learning technology capability, instructional design awareness, HR process knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to support learning initiatives across multiple locations. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 1. Learning Management System Administration Responsible for maintaining and administering the company’s Learning Management System. This includes managing learning assignments, course catalogs, user groups, due dates, training records, completion data, reports, learning paths, and system-related training activity. The role helps ensure that LMS data is accurate, timely, and reliable for employees, managers, HR, training coordinators, and leadership. 1. Training Records, Reporting, and Learning Analytics Responsible for generating and maintaining training reports, completion data, overdue training reports, participation summaries, learning activity reports, and other analytics needed to support Corporate HR, site HR, training coordinators, managers, and leadership. This includes helping develop reliable learning data for compliance, audits, leadership development tracking, and enterprise reporting. 1. Course Maintenance and Instructional Design Support Responsible for updating and improving existing training content when policies, procedures, systems, compliance requirements, leadership expectations, or business processes change. This includes supporting instructional redesign of courses to improve clarity, structure, learner experience, knowledge retention, accessibility, and alignment with learning objectives. 1. Corporate Learning and Development Program Support Responsible for supporting Corporate Learning and Development initiatives, including leadership development programs, manager training, compliance training, employee training, micro-learnings, onboarding-related learning, and other enterprise learning priorities. This includes assisting with course assignments, communications, scheduling, tracking, reporting, and follow-up. 1. Cross-Site Training Coordinator and Site Support Responsible for serving as a learning system and training administration resource for New Jersey division training coordinators and site training personnel in Texas and Baton Rouge. This includes providing guidance on LMS assignments, completion tracking, course access, training records, reporting, and learning process consistency. 1. Learning Technology and E-Learning Development Support Responsible for supporting the use of learning technology and e-learning tools to develop, update, and maintain training content. This may include tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Synthesia, AI-enabled learning tools, video learning tools, LMS platforms, and other systems used to support online, blended, and instructor-led training. 1. Training Governance, Compliance, and Audit Readiness Responsible for supporting consistent training administration practices, LMS governance, course version control, recordkeeping standards, completion tracking, and audit-ready training documentation. This role helps ensure that training data and records are maintained in accordance with company requirements, compliance needs, and internal HR standards. 1. Manager Enablement and Leadership Development Follow-Up Responsible for supporting learning follow-up connected to manager development, leadership development, performance management training, employee relations training, compliance training, and other HR-led development initiatives. This includes assisting with tracking, reinforcement, manager communications, training resources, and learning completion visibility. 1. Continuous Improvement of Learning Processes Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve LMS workflows, training assignment processes, course quality, reporting accuracy, training coordinator support, learning documentation, and the learner experience. This includes recommending practical improvements to strengthen efficiency, consistency, and usability across locations. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent related experience may be considered based on business need and candidate qualifications. • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred but not required., • ATD, CPTD, APTD, instructional design, LMS administration, e-learning development, or training facilitation certification preferred., • Certification or training in Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Synthesia, or similar course development tools preferred., • Training in adult learning principles, instructional design, learning evaluation, training analytics, or learning technology preferred., • Training in HR compliance, employee relations fundamentals, performance management, leadership development, or workplace training practices preferred. QUALIFICATIONS Previous Experience Required -- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of related experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Training Administration, LMS Administration, Instructional Design, HR Operations, Organizational Development, or a related function preferred. Experience should include some or all of the following: • Learning Management System administration or training system support., • Course assignment, training tracking, and completion reporting., • Training coordination or support for enterprise learning programs., • Instructional design, course updates, e-learning development, or training content maintenance., • Support of leadership development, manager training, compliance training, onboarding training, or employee development programs., • Experience working with HR, training coordinators, managers, employees, and site personnel., • Experience supporting multi-site learning administration preferred., • Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, industrial, or 24/7 operating environment preferred. Technical Skills Required -- • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools., • Experience with LMS platforms such as Dayforce Learning, SANA, Litmos, Absorb, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SuccessFactors Learning, or similar systems preferred., • Experience using e-learning and instructional design tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Synthesia, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, or similar platforms preferred., • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools used for course drafting, training scripts, knowledge checks, narration support, video learning, content conversion, or instructional redesign preferred., • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams skills., • Ability to generate training completion reports, overdue training reports, participation summaries, course assignment reports, and learning analytics., • Ability to organize training data, maintain course catalogs, manage user groups, track due dates, and troubleshoot basic LMS issues., • Ability to review training content for formatting, clarity, consistency, learner experience, and alignment with learning objectives.Company DescriptionFounded in 1978, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A.
