Job DescriptionNassau County law firm has an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist responsible for all the daily human resources functions for the firm, including Payroll recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and benefits administration. Call Center experience supporting a commissioned sales force helpful.Responsibilities • Manage and process ADP Workforce Now HR and payroll for salaried and hourly employees, • Conduct recruitment and onboarding, • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations, • Maintain and revise the company’s handbook on policies and procedures, • Communicate policies and procedures to the staff, • Respond to internal and external employee relations issues, • Manage and track all PTO leave for employees, • Implement and manage the annual company benefit review process, • Facilitate annual benefits open enrollment, • Enroll new hires & new participants in all benefit plans. Terminate employee benefit participation as necessary, • Perform 401(k) Plan administration including quarterly enrollment, bi-weekly contribution and loan repayment processing, approving loans and withdrawals and year-end plan compliance, • Review all monthly HR, Payroll and Health Insurance related invoices, • Manage and process FMLA, Paid Family Leave, Short Term Disability, and Workers Compensation., • Manage and process all unemployment claims, wage garnishments, mandated health insurance requests, employment and wage verifications, and employment record requests.Qualifications:, • Strong customer service mentality, • Two to three years of HR Generalist experience, • Two to three years ADP Workforce Now Payroll processing experience, • Two to three years of Recruiting experience, • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations, • Must have Strong knowledge of Federal and NY employment laws and regulations, • Working knowledge, understanding, and practical application of employment laws and HR practices, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • High degree of confidentiality, integrity and sound judgment., • Bachelors Degree
