NDI Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Technician to join our team in Lakehurst, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems, with a focus on high-quality workmanship in compliance with military standards. \n \nDuties & Responsibilities\n As an Electronics Technician, you will play a key role in the production and testing of electrical and electronic assemblies. Your responsibilities will include: \n\n • Assemble and test cable and wire harnesses, junction boxes, control panels, and other electronic assemblies.\n, • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics (MIL-STD knowledge preferred).\n, • Perform soldering (through-hole and surface mount) in compliance with J-STD-001 or similar standards.\n, • Work with fiber optics, including termination, splicing, and testing (NAVSEA standards preferred).\n, • Conduct continuity and functionality tests using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.\n, • Ensure product quality and accuracy through inspection and verification procedures.\n, • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, test results, and quality control metrics.\n, • Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and other technicians to resolve technical issues and improve processes.\n, • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.\n, • Operate various hand and power tools, crimpers, soldering irons, and material handling equipment as needed.\n\n \nRequirements: \n\n • 3–5 years of professional experience as an electronics technician in a manufacturing, defense, or aerospace environment.\n, • Strong understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.\n, • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.\n, • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.\n, • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.\n, • J-STD-001 Solder Certification\n, • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)\n, • NAVSEA MIL-STD-2042 Fiber Optic Certification\n\n \n NDI Engineering Company is a privately-held small business consulting firm.
