Job Title: Partner Operations Technician (Contract-to-Hire: Field-Based) Location: New York City (Local Travel Required) Type: Contract-to-Hire (3-6 months initial contract, potential for full-time hire based on performance) Compensation: $27–$32/hour + Travel Stipend + Performance Bonus Start Date: ASAP About Yedi Technologies is a VC-backed startup on a mission to bring ‘tap & go’ access to every quick-service retail restroom in the world. With our proprietary smart lock, non-customers can pay a small fee directly at the door for restroom access, while paying customers continue to go for free using one-time-use codes. Our platform is already live across multiple locations in Washington D.C. and is rapidly expanding into New York City. We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable, and personable Partner Operations Technician to own our partner experience in the field, from lock installations to on-site support and relationship management. Role Summary You’ll be the go-to person for our retail partners. Responsible for installing smart locks, maintaining hardware, responding to service calls, and ensuring a smooth experience. This is not a desk job. You’ll be out in the field every day, making sure our technology works seamlessly and our partners feel supported. Responsibilities • Install and set up smart locks at new partner locations, • Conduct routine check-ups, • Respond to service requests via Google Voice and arrive on-site within 2-4 hours during working hours, • Perform light troubleshooting and repairs on locks or printers, • Collect feedback and share product updates, • Log visits and resolutions in internal tools (mobile app, form, or spreadsheet), • Manage small inventory of hardware (locks, batteries, printers, paper) Requirements • 2+ years of hands-on experience in locksmithing or equivalent, on-the-ground customer service, or facility maintenance, • MUST have reliable transportation within NYC (20-30 minute commute), • Comfortable working independently in the field, • Personable, clear communicator, and partner-focused, • Strong organizational and time-management skills Bonus Points • Experience with smart lock systems or IoT devices, • Previous customer-facing service or technician roles, • Comfortable with light upselling or service upgrade discussions, • Familiarity with route scheduling and service calls What We Offer • Hourly pay with performance bonuses, • Monthly travel/gas stipend, • Opportunity to transition into a full-time role after 3-6 months, • Full training and tools provided, • Fast-paced startup environment with growth opportunities
