Program Description Bronx Grove, a 323-unit residential building. 194 units of permanently affordable and supportive housing in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx and was developed by CAMBA Housing Ventures (CHV), the housing development subsidiary of CAMBA. These units are supported by CAMBA, providing services to chronically homeless single adults and families where the head of households are diagnosed with chronic health conditions. The remaining 129 units are occupied by community residents, who may require some services. CAMBA provides on-site case management and supportive services in addition to 24-hour security. Position: Security Guard Reports To: Supervisor I Location: 261 East 202nd Street and 270 East 203rd street, Bronx, NY 10458 What The Security Guard Does: The person filling this position is expected, under close supervision, to: (1) maintain access control and traffic inside facilities to maintain order and security of people and property; (2) detect and/or prevent fires, vandalism, theft, or infractions of the rules; (3) maintain assigned posts throughout the facility until properly relieved; (4) protect employees, visitors and tenants; and, (5) provide directions to visitors when requested. • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality., • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol and Procedures., • Comply with all Federal, State, City, and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information., • Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility., • Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs., • Patrol buildings and grounds of facilities where CAMBA programs are located., • Examine doors, windows, gates, and all fire exits to determine that they are secure and in accordance with all fire regulations., • Observe and report irregularities such as unusual tenant behavior, trespassers, fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked., • Monitor tenants and the facility via security camera systems., • Conduct fire safety patrols and report findings or fire safety concerns to appropriate supervisory personnel., • Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors entering the facility., • Issue commendations to support positive tenant behaviors such as peers helping peers, compliance with rules and regulations, etc., • Counsel tenants who violate rules (such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles) and complete infraction reports., • Observe departing employees, visitors, and/or tenants to guard against theft of CAMBA property., • Document in the security logbook and incident report forms property damage, unusual occurrences, and incidents with employees, visitors, and tenants., • Maintain assigned equipment per shift., • Sign equipment in and out for each shift., • May provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports., • Other duties as assigned. We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to be responsible for examining patients, prescribing medicines, and ordering diagnostic tests as needed. The Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner will work under the supervision of the Physician. To be a successful Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner at our Urgent Care, you should have previous experience working in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting. Must be able to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses as well as provide treatment. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Hours of operations are mostly 12p to 12a, shifts will mainly be 12p to 12a. Exception is we are open only 8a-6p Friday and 9p to 1a on Saturdays. A federally funded Head Start program whose mission is to provide high quality, comprehensive early education and family engagement services to families and their children ages 2 to 5 years old. POSITION/JOB TITLE: Lead Teacher (UNCERTIFIED OR CERTIFIED) STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Education Site Manager SALARY RANGE: $68,652 JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Teacher supports BSECDC's mission to make a difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities through the delivery of high-quality early education and child development services that promote children's school readiness through growth and development across all developmental domains.The Lead Teacher adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as BSECDC program policies, procedures, and administrative guidance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Implement a well-organized learning environment with developmentally appropriate schedules, lesson plans, and indoor and outdoor learning experiences that provide adequate opportunities for choice, play, exploration, and experimentation among a variety of learning, sensory, and motor experiences., • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans, including plans for individualized instruction, in accordance with BSECDC's procedures and the research-based curriculum, that include indoor and outdoor learning experiences to support physical health and development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognitive development., • Recognize bilingualism and biliteracy as strengths and, for children who are dual language learners, plan and implement experiences to support English language development., • Ensure the physical environment and lesson plans reflect the diversity of the children and families served., • Implement nurturing, responsive, and effective teaching practices to ensure daily learning experiences promote critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, STEM, and reading and writing readiness, as well as children's social-emotional development and universal values of tolerance, compassion, and respect among children., • Use positive guidance strategies to create a peaceful classroom environment where children resolve conflicts using language to express their feelings and opinion., • Expose children to individuals of different cultural lifestyles, genders, and sexual orientations through stories, posted pictures, and discussion., • Plan and communicate effectively with all other classroom staff, including the assistant teacher, exceptional education staff, volunteers, and interns, about weekly lessons, classroom activities, and additional pertinent information regarding children., • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries to encourage their input and support two-way communication regarding the growth and development of their children., • Conduct two home visits and two parent-teacher conferences per child per year., • Create and adhere to a posted classroom daily schedule that includes sufficient time for established routines such as nap/rest time, meal time, handwashing, toileting, and transition through activities., • Ensure children are engaged in oral hygiene education through daily tooth brushing, stories, skits, and other activities., • Facilitate, observe, and communicate the importance of healthy eating habits through family-style meal time, including ensuring all adults eat with children during meal time., • Conduct all screenings and ongoing assessments of the children in the class, as required, and use data gathered to inform instruction, including individualization, and measure progress towards School Readiness Goals., • Monitor children's daily attendance and communicate with the assigned BSECDC staff member if a child needs additional support., • Support tracking responsibilities of the daily meal count for the CACFP program, as requested., • Maintain active supervision, group size, and ratios at all times indoors and outdoors., • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground, including following all health and safety rules about food allergies, universal precautions, and personal hygiene., • Maintain consistent attendance to support continuity of care for children and families., • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, coaching, workshops, and staff development programs, as requested., • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely completion of all required data, documentation, and paperwork, including child files., • Follow all applicable BSECDC policies and procedures, including the Standards of Conduct, to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation while in the care of the Center., • Implement fully all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as cited in the Head Start Performance Standards, the Head Start Act, IDEA, IFSP, FERPA, ACYFIM, Department of Education, and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Health Licensing Code, Article 47 NAEYC., • Bachelor's Degree with a study plan toward a degree in Early Childhood Education OR, • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with NY State Certification OR, • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education working towards NYS Certification, • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communications skills The physical demands described below represent only some that must be met to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
