ABOUT THE POSITION: The Clerk Driver / Clerk 1 under direction, drives the Bookmobile for the purpose of transporting books, supplies, materials and/or passengers. Clerk Driver / Clerk 1 performs routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions; including assisting with checking books in and out, utilizing keyboard equipment to input and/or retrieve information on a computer console, typewriter or other key entry device both on the Bookmobile and in the office. Clerk Driver / Clerk 1 may be called to man tabling events and participate in programs and events, assist with routine library tasks such as shelving books and setting up book displays. Clerk Driver / Clerk 1 may be called to announce the Bookmobile arrival on site. Clerk Driver /Clerk 1 will assist patrons with general customer service about Bookmobile and library services and/or referring patrons to an appropriate other staff member. The Clerk Driver /Clerk 1 will perform other routine clerical work such as transporting boxes of books to and from the bus to the Bookmobile Office at Five Corners; maintaining shelves and shelf reading, and doing other related work as required. Job Description During the school year the security guard will help ensure a safe environment for students, teachers, and administrators and will either open or close the school building. This is a full-time 10 month position. Works Closely with: Other Security Guards & Custodians • Ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed on campus, • Enforce guest/visitor policies, • Provide support to teachers and administrators during confrontational situations, • Monitor campus access points as assigned, • Greet campus guests, ascertain reason for visit and implement visitor protocols as appropriate, • Monitor school parking lots and direct traffic throughout day and during dismissal, • Use phone system to call teachers and staff when visitors arrive, • Perform assigned duties during emergency drills, • Escort parents and students to classes as requested, • Share responsibility for outdoor recess monitoring, • Log any security incidents in the security log book.
