Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re- entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Responsibilities: The Pharmacy Technician performs all technical tasks in the unit dose, carry and out-patient drug distribution systems as well as other related duties of a satellite pharmacy. Enters order into IDWhere and transmits on both a daily and weekly basis to packaging. Reconciles packing slip or invoice against items received. Notifies building pharmacist and packaging manager of any discrepancies. Gathers and records other statistical and survey information as required. Emails to appropriate party as requested., • Has a working knowledge of the pharmacy and medical computer systems. Keys data into the pharmacy system (compliance and OTC requests) and retrieves data from the computer as directed by the pharmacist and permitted by law. Prints or reprints all reports/labels as required., • Maintains all pharmacy areas, including “bubbles,” in a clean, orderly and well stocked fashion for all shifts. Helps arrange for sanitation pick-up and cleaning of these areas with the Department of Correction., • Allows new personnel to shadow them., • Monitors the quality of patient care through quality assurance/improvement mechanisms. Ensure that painting jobs are done neatly, respectfully and with attention to detail., • Maintain a weekly time log indicating completion of chores and duties, including day and time the activity took place, and submit log to building manager with time sheet every other Friday., • Sweep floor daily, mop public areas of building at least twice per week, including but not limited to staircases and hallways, and as otherwise needed., • Prepare, sort and remove garbage and trash in building for pick up by garbage trucks., • Keep basement clean and free of all clutter and debris at all times. Summary: The Porter will make sure that a mixed-use residential and commercial building in Flushing, Queens is maintained daily in clean and functioning order for its occupants. Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies. Responsibilities: • Regular working hours will be full-time 40 hours weekly. During light snow or ice, apply granulated salt compound or alternative immediately to avoid slippage., • Report any illegal activities or conduct, suspected and / or witnessed, on the part of any tenants or visitors at or around the building. If there is any evidence of drug activity (addicts, vials, needles, envelopes), or other undesirable behavior, notify management office staff person immediately., • Report and file report on all accidents without delay to the management office., • Maintain a neat appearance and a polite, courteous demeanor at all times., • Advise of need for cleaning tools, supplies and equipment. Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: RESIDENTIAL AIDE FLSA: NON-EXEMPT DIVISION: SERVICES REPORTS TO: PROGRAM DIRECTOR /DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES LOCATION: QUEENS ,NY SALARY: $17.00 to $18.00 Hourly SUMMARY: The Residential Aide assist with client basic needs. Individual will work in conjunction with the social services team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services in a homeless shelter. Proof of COVIV-19 vaccinations required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Complete intakes for new clients and provide orientation to the facility and DHS rules and regulations., • Serve meals and snacks to clients during meal times, • Perform regular area inspections to ensure that shelter rules are adhered too, • Monitor sitting areas, laundry rooms and cafeteria to ensure all clients are adhering to shelter rules, • Maintain a clean and organized storage area, • Document and track locks for all lockers, • Maintain lock log, • Assist with intakes, • Assist clients with securing property within assigned locker, • Store and remove client property from the client storage/locker area as appropriate, • Relocate items and furniture as necessary, • Assist security team as needed, • Cover operations desk when necessary, • Maintain required documentation in case records in writing and computer database (CARES) and update client’s records in accordance with governmental and agency policy., • Collect and make copies of client identification and other documents necessary during initial intake., • Assist clients in daily living skills and assist with cleaning area, laundry, hygiene and etc., • Launder and fold all agency towels, wash cloths and shelter linens after clients have left the facility., • Follow laundry schedule to ensure that all used linens are washed and stored as appropriate., • Attend and participate in all required agency meetings: staff meetings, house meetings, in-service training and weekly/bi-weekly case review, • Perform regular inspections of all client areas, • Respond to incidents as appropriate, • Answer phones when necessary, • Assist with all house operations, • Assist with maintenance duties as needed, • Review logbooks at start of each shift to ensure that all new client intakes are completed within 24 hours as required. High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred. Food Handlers Certification required. 1-year experience dealing with homeless or special needs population.
