Position Overview: As a Staff Accountant at CEFO Advisors, you will play a key support role across multiple client engagements. Working alongside Controllers, CFOs, and fellow accounting staff, you will help maintain accurate financial records, support reporting processes, and contribute to efficient month-end close cycles. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to build a strong foundation in accounting while working in a dynamic, client-facing environment. You will gain exposure to a variety of industries and systems while supporting the financial operations that drive our clients' success. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Job Responsibilities: • Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including data entry and general ledger maintenance, • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, • Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring entries such as payroll and accruals, • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, • Maintain accurate financial records, including assets, liabilities, and income statement accounts, • Support preparation of financial reports and assist with variance analysis, • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues to ensure data accuracy and completeness, • Collaborate with CEFO team members and client staff to ensure timely completion of tasks, • Assist with improving processes and maintaining consistent workflows, • You enjoy working with numbers and take pride in accuracy, • You are organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively, • You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of reliable financial data, • You are dependable and follow through on commitments, • You approach your work with a problem-solving mindset, • You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, • You communicate clearly and professionally with both colleagues and clients, • You are motivated to learn and grow within the accounting field, • You maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care, • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred, • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements, • Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries, • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, • Experience working with QuickBooks, Sage products, NetSuite, or similar systems preferred, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Comfort working with cloud-based systems and adapting to new technologies, • $30-$40 per hour (commensurate with experience), • Generous incentive program, • Annual bonuses based on company performance, • Paid time off, including your birthday, • 401(k) with company match, • Health, Vision, Dental Insurance (full-time only), • Hybrid work environment This position requires the completion of a background check due to state and federal compliance requirements.
