Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an organized, reliable, and patient-focused Certified Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties • Phlebotomy: Perform safe, accurate, and efficient venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of various age groups. Ensure proper labeling, processing, and logging of specimens., • Patient Intake: Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and update medical histories in EPIC., • Provider Support: Assist physicians and mid-level providers during examinations, minor procedures, and treatments., • Lab Management: Maintain standard precautions, handle biohazardous materials correctly, and ensure the laboratory area is clean, stocked, and compliant with safety regulations. Administrative & Front Office Duties • Electronic Health Records: Utilize EPIC daily for accurate charting, scheduling, reviewing lab orders, and messaging providers., • Patient Coordination: Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and answer phone inquiries with a professional demeanor., • Office Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical supplies inventory. Qualifications & Skills Required: • Certification: Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential from an accredited agency (e.g., NHA, AMT, ASCP)., • Technical Skills: Proven proficiency and hands-on experience using EPIC software., • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of prior experience working in a medical office or clinical setting., • Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, reliability, and a deeply patient-centered approach to care. Preferred: • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA).
