The Dog Chateau seeks a compassionate, reliable, hardworking Dog Daycare & Boarding Assistant to join our team. Position: Dog Daycare & Boarding Assistant Location: The Dog Chateau, Glenville, NY Job Type: Part-time or Full-time Expected Hours: 1540 hours per week Salary Range: $16$19 per hour Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and interact with dogs during play and rest to ensure a safe and positive environment., • Lead multiple 45-minute pack walks each day across our scenic, 11-fenced-in acres to promote exercise and socialization., • To support their well-being and development, engage dogs in daily enrichment activities, such as structured play, sensory experiences, and training exercises., • Monitor each dogs behavior and well-being, addressing any issues promptly and compassionately., • Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including play areas, boarding suites, and shared spaces, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met throughout each day, • Manage laundry, dishes, and waste removal to keep the facility in top condition., • Communicate with pet owners, providing updates and ensuring a positive client experience., • Assist with feeding, exercising, and administering primary care for each dog., • Support a smooth check-in and check-out process for daycare and boarding clients., • Work as part of a team, supporting other team members as needed and adhering to The Dog Chateaus policies and proceduresQualifications:, • Love for dogs of all sizes and breeds, • Experience in dog daycare and/or basic dog training is required, • Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, bending, and lifting within safe Department of Labor guidelines, • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing, • Fitness level suited to walking and standing for multiple 45-minute sessions across varied terrain, • Ability to work shifts between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM, including AM, afternoon, evening shifts, and weekends, • Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset, • Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods, • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a flexible scheduleBenefits:, • Competitive pay within the range of $16$19 per hour, • 401K with a 3% match for both part-time and full-time employees after 90 days of employment, • Hands-on experience with a variety of dogs in a fun, engaging environment, • Opportunities for training and professional development, • Discounts on dog care services The Dog Chateau 4057 Amsterdam Rd.Glenville, NY USA Industry Animal Website
