Facilities Support: • Conduct routine facility checks of the school building as directed by the BOM. A successful Facilities Maintenance Associate will: • Complete work orders accurately, safely, and on time., • Demonstrate strong hands-on knowledge of building maintenance and facility systems., • Monitor and support pool systems with accuracy and consistency., • Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance issues and urgent facility needs., • Communicate clearly with engineers, supervisors, vendors, and staff., • Maintain organized mechanical rooms, work areas, and documentation., • Follow safety protocols and use good judgment when troubleshooting issues., • Support smooth handoffs between shifts and reduce gaps in communication., • Help prevent disruptions to programs, classes, events, members, and daily operations., • Show reliability, accountability, and strong follow-through during a fixed operational schedule. Who You’ll Work With • Director of Facilities and Operations, • Operations Team, • Facilities Team, • Housekeeping Team, • Security Team, • Member Services Team, • Aquatics Team, • Sports Team, • Fitness Team, • Camps Team, • Members, participants, families, staff, and guests Qualifications Required Qualifications You’ll need: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or a closely related maintenance role., • Working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general repairs., • Experience using commercial maintenance tools and following established safety protocols., • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues, work independently, and make sound decisions during time-sensitive situations., • Ability to respond to leaks, alarms, equipment issues, safety concerns, and urgent facility needs., • Ability to accurately document work orders, shift activity, pool readings, and maintenance updates., • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use work order systems, DigiQuatics, BMS, Salesforce, or similar platforms., • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in confined or elevated spaces, and remain on your feet for extended periods., • Ability to work the fixed schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM., • Certified Pool Operator certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire., • Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications • It would be helpful if you also have:, • FDNY fire and life safety certifications, including F-01, F-07, S-12, S-13, S-95, or willingness to obtain., • Current Certified Pool Operator certification., • Experience with pool operations, filtration systems, chemical readings, mechanical plant systems, or aquatic facility maintenance., • Experience with building automation systems, BMS platforms, commercial fitness facilities, aquatics facilities, schools, recreation centers, nonprofit facilities, or high-traffic public-facing buildings., • Experience coordinating shift handoffs, vendor communication, preventative maintenance, or emergency maintenance response. The schedule is Sunday to Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. This schedule is a firm operational requirement and is not negotiable because the role supports evening campus coverage, building operations, pool systems, maintenance response, program continuity, and safe facility operations during assigned hours. The work environment includes mechanical rooms, pool areas, fitness and recreation spaces, common areas, staff areas, building systems spaces, and other active facility environments. The role may involve exposure to noise, humidity, pool chemicals, equipment rooms, tools, active maintenance areas, and urgent facility needs.
