Job DescriptionPride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client's healthcare facility in Clifton NJ 07012. Job Details: Schedule: 11:00PM-7:00AM EST (Night Shift) Location: Clifton NJ 07012 Job Type: Local contract Contract Length: 14 Week/s Pay Range: $30.00 to $40.00/hour* *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Duties & Responsibilities • Handle and process laboratory specimens., • Perform clinical laboratory testing according to SOPs., • Analyze specimens and review/release patient results., • Perform and document QC/QA activities., • Perform instrument calibration and maintenance., • Identify testing issues and troubleshoot or escalate them to the supervisor., • Document corrective actions., • Report STAT and critical results according to laboratory procedures., • Maintain accurate testing and patient records., • Monitor reagent/test-kit receipt dates, expiration dates, and opening dates., • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines., • Participate in training, educational meetings, and safety programs., • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication.Education, • BS in Medical Technology preferred, OR, • BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, OR, • Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, • Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 may also qualify., • Foreign-educated candidates require a detailed IERF credential evaluation., • U.S.-educated candidates require a detailed original transcript.Certification, • ASCP or AMT certification preferred., • Candidate should be certified or eligible for national certification., • State/national licensure required where applicable.Experience, • 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience preferred., • For BS/BA Chemistry or Biology candidates, minimum 1 year of high-complexity clinical laboratory experience is required.Interested?
