    Assistant General Manager – SoHo About the role Guizio is hiring a full-time Assistant General Manager for our SoHo store. You will partner with the General Manager to run the store day to day: driving sales, leading and developing the team, and delivering an elevated client experience that reflects the brand. You will step in as the senior leader on the floor when the GM is out, and own key areas of operations, visual standards and clienteling. • Location: SoHo, New York, NY (on-site), • Schedule: Full-time, including weekends, holidays and some evenings, • Reports to: General Manager Key responsibilities Sales and client experience • Drive the store toward daily, weekly and monthly sales targets; track KPIs such as conversion, average transaction value and units per transaction, • Model and coach a high-touch selling approach on the floor, • Build and grow a client book through clienteling, appointments, follow-ups and personal styling, • Resolve escalated client issues, returns and exchanges with care and good judgment Team leadership • Lead the team on the floor, run morning huddles and set daily goals, • Recruit, onboard and train sales associates with the GM, • Give regular feedback, support performance reviews and develop future leaders, • Build weekly schedules that match coverage to traffic and stay within payroll budget Operations • Open and close the store, including cash handling, POS reconciliation and security procedures, • Oversee receiving, stock replenishment, transfers and inventory counts; keep shrink low, • Maintain stockroom organization and accurate inventory in our systems, • Support omnichannel services such as ship-from-store, online order pickup and returns, • Uphold company policies, loss prevention practices and health and safety standards Visual and brand standards • Execute visual merchandising directives and floor sets on schedule, • Keep the store, fitting rooms and windows looking polished and on-brand at all times, • Share product feedback and client insights with the GM and home office Store leadership • Act as manager on duty and lead the store when the GM is out, • Represent the store at in-store events, launches and community partnerships Qualifications • 3+ years of retail experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role, ideally in fashion, luxury or contemporary apparel, • Proven track record of meeting or beating sales goals, • Experience hiring, training and coaching a sales team, • Strong clienteling skills and a genuine passion for fashion and service, • Working knowledge of store operations: POS systems (e.g., Shopify POS), inventory management, cash handling and scheduling, • Clear communicator who stays calm and organized in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment, • Comfortable with retail metrics and using data to guide decisions, • Open availability, including weekends, holidays and evenings, • Able to stand for long periods, climb ladders and lift up to 30 lbs What we offer • Compensation: $75,000 per year, plus a 20% bonus after one year of employment, • Health, dental and vision insurance, • Paid time off and paid sick leave, • Generous employee discount, • Commuter benefits, • Growth and development opportunities with a fast-growing New York brand Guizio is an equal opportunity employer.
