    Job description: The School-Based Youth Services Programs at Clifton and Passaic Valley High Schools are comprehensive, one-stop shopping programs designed to assist students prevent and combat problems affecting their personal, academic, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure that students graduate, become employable or continue their education, and are physically and mentally healthy and drug-free. The Employment Specialist is a full-time position, working 20 hours per week at each school, providing employment services and coordinating with existing employment services. The responsibilities include: • Serving as a member of a team committed to helping young people build on existing assets to make positive choices about their health and well-being, academic achievement, and interaction with others., • Identifying or conducting appropriate job training programs, assisting in job searches, developing and maintaining a database of local employment opportunities., • Coordinating with employment programs including those provide through the schools and the Workforce Investment Board (One-Stop Center)., • Overseeing program-based employment initiatives., • Assisting the Program Directors in maintaining and building relationships with the schools and community collaborators., • Assisting in data collection for evaluation purposes. Prospective applicants must have knowledge of the philosophy of Positive Youth Development; the ability to work collaboratively with school and program resources; and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred. Computer skills are also essential, with experience with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel, preferred. Bachelor’s degree required with previous experience working with adolescents. Attractive salary and benefits package will be provided.     Job description: The Supervising Prevention Consultant is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing prevention programs in schools and communities. Supervises a team of Prevention Consultants and collaborates with school districts, community partners, and service providers to deliver trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies that engage youth and families. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and implement evidence-based prevention programs for schools and communities., • Supervise, train, and evaluate Prevention Consultants., • Facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies for youth and families., • Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other community organizations., • Support programmatic data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives., • Serve as a role model and ensure positive interactions with program participants., • Schedule and assist collaborators on best practices in prevention science., • Attend community events and meetings as required., • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration)., • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a social service environment implementing evidence-based practices, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory role., • Experience in community organizing, partnership development, and project management., • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations., • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite., • Valid NJ driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle., • Must pass NJ Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) screening and a fingerprint-based background check.     * Hours 3:00 -7:00 ** Job Duties: Prepares and serves food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides. Perform various job flows as needed and directed by DDS. Will help plan weekly meals, prepare, and chop ingredients. Keeps food preparation areas sanitized and orderly. Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping, and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, and pot washing. Brews coffee, fills beverage machines, sets up hot and/or cold food areas. Stores silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, etc. Collects and strips trays for dishwashing and participates in ware washing if assigned. Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, patients, and catering events. Complies with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling Complies with all client location security protocols and guidelines. Checks and stores incoming supplies. Follows assigned break schedules; work weekends, evenings and holidays are required. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed. Time management skills. Attention to detail and sanitation rules. Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Serve Safe Certification Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be able to access and navigate all areas.
