Department/Unit: Development Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $60,367.47 - $90,551.20 The Coordinator of Children’s Miracle Network Programs and Signature Events is responsible for establishing goals and objectives to further the mission of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. The Coordinator will be working closely with the Director, Signature Events, the Coordinator will develop budgets, strategies and tactics to fulfill these goals. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with national and local partners from front line staff to executives, and guide these partnerships to the program growth goals. The Coordinator will engage constituents and volunteers in the mission to maximize the local execution of CMN Hospitals’ fundraising programs, events, and corporate partnerships. The Coordinator will also manage the Community Events program, assisting independent community groups with fundraising events that support the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital. The Coordinator will also contribute to the strategic direction of the Signature Events, with focused support of the Children’s Hospital Radiothon and Annual Golf Tournament. The Coordinator is a member of the Development Operations team, and she or he will also contribute to the overall plans and strategies for all annual programs and events, as well as support of all team members. This position requires 30% travel to meet with partners in the region, and overnight conference requirements. This position requires a professional whose background is characterized by initiative, creative energy, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, well-refined organizational skills, and the ability to motivate others. Attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to prioritize are also essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is advantageous. One to three years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing strategic fundraising initiatives, or equivalent experience, is required. Position Overview Specific Responsibilities 1. In conjunction with the Director of Signature Events and Assistant Vice President of Development Operations, Philanthropic Impact & Engagement, establish and execute an annual strategic plan, goals, and operating plan to further the awareness and fundraising for the Bernard & Mille Duker Children’s Hospital, in alignment with the hospital/foundation goals and mission., 2. Develop and implement a plan for the cultivation, stewardship, and engagement of CMN corporate partners and national programs. Regularly monitor and evaluate campaign and program quality to guide future strategies., 3. Actively manage a portfolio of top corporate partners with the goal of maximizing revenue through each corporate partner campaign. Build and steward relationships with regional, district and local leadership of these companies, as well as employees and volunteers, through face-to-face visits, emails, written correspondence, phone calls and other forms of communication., 4. Implement a local Advisory Council comprised of dedicated leaders in the region that support CMN initiatives. Manage communication with council members and prepare any materials necessary for meetings., 5. Engage and enlist the assistance of hospital constituents as needed (physicians, nurses, staff, patients, families) and keep them informed and inspired about the importance of CMN Hospitals programs to the overall mission of the hospital., 6. Organize and host events and other activities such as tours, check presentations, and kickoff meetings for key partners to deepen their understanding and commitment to the hospital mission., 7. In conjunction with the Director, submit quarterly financial reports to CMN Hospitals., 8. Work with Albany Med’s Marketing & Communications Department to develop materials for partner campaigns, programs, and community events. Work with Marketing & Communications on social media posts and webpage updates, ensuring appropriate co-branding with CMN Hospitals., 9. Complete grant applications related to funding opportunities from CMN Hospitals corporate partners, or general children’s hospital funding opportunities as appropriate. Support any associated stewardship tied to grants., 10. Work with grateful patients and their families to provide outlets and support to share their stories. Actively communicate with the annual Miracle Child Champion family, and grateful patients that participate in Foundation events., 11. Share strategic best practices and other field insights with CMN National representatives and neighboring program directors to support continuous growth of all partnerships, programs, and events., 12. Represent Albany Medical Center at national and local CMN meetings, including but not limited to: Children’s Hospitals Week, Speedway/7 Eleven Golf Tournament, Fall Fundraising Forum, and regional Collaboration Meetings., 13. Provide logistical support for the Children’s Hospital Radiothon and the Annual Golf Tournament, including gift in kind solicitation., 14. Manage the community fundraising events program in conjunction with the Director, Signature Events, by providing support of third-party special events., 15. Coordinate with the Development Operations team to track financial data and to run accurate, up-to-date reports. Update Raiser’s Edge database as necessary., 16. Represent the Foundation to internal and external audiences, in the community, and among peer professionals in a manner that generates respect and goodwill and contributes to Albany Med’s reputation as a health care facility of distinction., 17. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The NYISO's Operations department invites applications for full-time, Associate Operators in our Grid Operations group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team tasked with ensuring that the flow of electricity to New York's people and business goes uninterrupted. The successful candidates will work in a brand new, state-of-the-art control center. The Control Center's video wall is the largest installation for the utility industry in North America. It's one hundred, 80- inch diagonal LED screens are stacked twenty-five wide by four high, spanning a space 131 feet wide and 18 feet tall. The Associate Operator will support the broader regional markets initiatives in the real time grid and market operations environment and runs the software programs for the NYCA Control Area hourly schedule check out and analyze the results . This position will be responsible for the monitoring and coordination of all inter-regional parallel flows to account for the impact of unscheduled power flows, provide for enhanced inter-regional transaction coordination, and provide for inter-regional congestion management while maintaining all system reliability requirements . The Operator will assess the possibilities to reduce uplift costs associated with real time events and promote efficient congestion management . The Operator will monitor unscheduled power flows and, if necessary, recommend the use of the NERC TLR process . The Associate Operator will work with System Operators in the IESO, HQTE, PJM, ISONE, NB, and MISO to improve the efficiency of regional transaction scheduling and reliable operations throughout the region . This position will ensure that all inter-regional transaction scheduling and modifications meet all NERC Reliability Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identify sources and magnitude of unscheduled power flows that result in reliability and economic impacts to the NYISO grid operations and markets., • Initiate Job Description The Senior NOC Technician will provide 2nd level technical support to all managed and unmanaged networks controlled from the FirstLight Core NOC. This position provides technical leadership and guidance for the NOC in proactive alarm management, network analysis, maintenance and health checks as well as being an escalation point for the customer and NOC peers. When the system malfunctions, the Senior NOC Technician troubleshoots the network across multiple vendor platforms, makes repairs or refers to the next level of technical hierarchy (Engineering) to restore services as quick as possible. There are three main roles in the Network Operation Center (NOC). Surveillance, Repair, and Communications/Documentation. This is to quickly recognize network anomalies, ensure maximum possible service availability and performance, and to communication and document the actions of the NOC. This position is responsible for providing technical guidance and training to the NOC Technician along with the FirstLight customer base. The individual will be responsible for working closely with all Network Operations teams ensuring customer satisfaction and ticket resolution. Perform the roles/responsibilities of the NOC Technician I and Senior NOC Technician positions as required. The position also includes some queue, workload, and team lead responsibilities. The Senior NOC Technician is expected to be a technical focal point within the team, validating escalations into 2nd & 3rd level Technical Support, and overseeing Core Network Events that impact multiple customers and systems. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-5pm. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Resolution and diagnosis of network and system faults at a 2nd line support level through proactive alarm management and technically escalated network faults., • Management of technically escalated issues that may require hands-on management of 3rd party vendor activities and customer liaison., • Monitoring network performance, highlighting any deficiencies through the appropriate channels via network health checks and identification of activities that present risk to the live networks. Action and resolve using the correct processes and procedures., • Provide operational assistance to all areas of Network Operations, mentor, and train members of the NOC., • Manage Major Service outages. Lead conference bridge directing activities. Update notifications in a timely manner. Work with OSP, GIS, and field teams as required. Direct NOC team to update customers and internal mail groups., • New Hire Training, • Associate degree or Technical school is highly recommended with a strong knowledge of computer functionality., • Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required., • Must be detail oriented and highly organized., • Strong detail-oriented and organized project management skills., • Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships., • Capable of working and learning independently with minimal supervision., • Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to make decisions independently., • Good communication skills with ability to converse technical information to all audiences., • Cisco certifications, • Four to Six years Network Operations experience or equivalent, • Experience working on Core Transport, Data/IP networks completing 1st/2nd level diagnostics across multiple technologies and Vendors preferred., • Advanced 2nd line technical competency level that spans all deployed equipment technologies., • Willingness and ability to train NOC staff on technical, functional, and procedural items., • Experience with Network Edge, Transport and Access technologies such as DSL, GPON, SONET, and ROADM., • In depth knowledge of MEF and CE2.0 Ethernet products and standards, including y.1731 statistics collection, y.1564 testing., • Advanced knowledge of Ethernet and IP required. Successful candidate will have the skills necessary to troubleshoot layers 1-4 of the OSI Model., • In depth knowledge of connection-oriented Ethernet standards including MPLS-TP, G.8032, PBB-TE., • In depth knowledge of industry protocols including IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VRRP, VLANs, Spanning tree, and 802.1q., • Solid optical troubleshooting skills using OTDR, OSA, BERT and optical power meters.
