This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, advanced imaging support, certification incentives, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Position Overview • Direct hire, full-time position, • Day shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, • Outpatient imaging environment, • Certification incentive eligible, • Annual salary range: $97,757.45 – $143,059.47, • $10,000 sign-on bonus, • Perform diagnostic mammography and general radiographic imaging procedures, • Prepare and position patients accurately according to exam protocols, • Produce high-quality images and review exams for completeness and quality, • Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures as needed, • Apply radiation safety and protection principles to minimize exposure, • Maintain imaging equipment, perform QA checks, and order supplies, • Process images and prepare CDs when required, • Communicate exam findings to radiologists and relay wet readings when applicable, • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to imaging standards of care, • Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives, • High School Diploma or GED required, • Graduate of an accredited radiography or hospital-based imaging program, • ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) required, • New York State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required, • Mammography certification preferred or required within 1 year of hire, • Completion of 40 hours of mammography training, including QA/QC and supervised exams, • 24 ECE credits every 2 years; 15 Category 1 CEUs in mammography every 36 months, • BLS (AHA) certification required (or within 90 days of hire), • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to remain composed in high-stress environments, • Attention to detail and sound clinical judgment, • Team-oriented mindset with adaptability and professionalism, • Ability to stand and move throughout the day (approximately 85% of work time), • Lift and transport up to 50 pounds and assist patients with mobility, • Operate imaging and computer equipment continuously, • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, • Exposure to chemicals and bloodborne pathogens as applicable, • Neonatal through geriatric populations, • Bariatric patients This opportunity is ideal for a Mammography Technologist seeking stability, strong compensation, and long-term growth in an outpatient setting—without weekend or overnight shifts.
