Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW: Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils are seeking an experienced and highly organized Manager, Event Operations to join the Event Operations & Event Services Department. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of all Prudential Center and New Jersey Devils events, including games, concerts, private events, and special off-site initiatives. The Manager of Event Operations will lead and support the Operations & Event Services team, ensuring events are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards. This position manages the arena’s day-to-day internal event calendar, coordinates space reservations, and serves as a primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external clients. In this role, the Manager will plan and execute private events within the arena and support off-site events as required for the New Jersey Devils. The position collaborates closely with all building departments—including facilities, security, guest services, food and beverage, production, and technical services—to align operational plans, resolve challenges, and ensure seamless, world-class event execution. How You Will Contribute The Community Manager is the powerhouse that drives the community. They manage and coordinate people, activities, and available resources to provide a seamless community to residents, future residents, visitors, and team members. Things You Will Do Leadership • Hire, train, and supervise all team members through a positive mentoring approach, • Empower team members by setting high goals to challenge your team, while also holding yourself accountable for their success, • Assist in the hiring process by vetting candidates to select viable candidates, • Provide comprehensive feedback to all team members, document, and facilitate disciplinary procedures as necessary, • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to monitor and schedule make-readies and other maintenance activities like capital projects progress, and preventive maintenance programs, • Oversee day-to-day business operations of the community, • Drive occupancy and NOI through strategic marketing and leasing, • Manage resident relations, conflict resolution, and retention efforts, • Lead a high-performing team to achieve occupancy, rent growth, and customer service goals, • Interface with leadership on occupancy data and service KPIs, • Prepare and execute a community budget, • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, • Ensure that rent is collected and posted in a timely manner, and bank deposits are made immediately, • Maintain open communication with vendors and contractors concerning work scheduling, billing, vendor relations, and certificates of insurance, • Submit invoices for payment promptly, • Suggest rental rate recommendations to the Regional Manager, • Have a strong working knowledge of the market and comps, • Report liability and community incidents to the required distribution group, • Meet financial targets by setting rents, collecting revenue, and managing expenses effectively., • Oversee the screening process and vetting of applicants for creditworthiness, • Assume responsibility for the office and model apartments opening on schedule and in excellent condition, • Provide outstanding customer service to residents and future residents, • Take pride in the apartment community; visually inspect and address areas of concern, keep the community clean, and report service needs to maintenance team members, • Build relationships with residents through courteous and timely responses to needs and concerns, • Think safety first and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly, • Visually inspect/prepare the entire property (office, models, compactor, vacant areas, curb appeal, and amenity areas) daily for cleanliness., • Inspect and touch up model and vacant units. Responsible for maintaining the work area and office cleanliness, • The candidate must have experience leading a high-profile, large-scale (400+ unit) Class A luxury or flagship community, • Prior lease-up and/or new construction experience, ideally delivering and stabilizing a property of similar scale, • Strong revenue management experience, including pricing strategy, concession management, rent growth planning, and competitive market analysis, • Proven capital project oversight, including warranty coordination, vendor performance management, and preventive maintenance programs, • Track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing on-site teams in fast-paced environments, • Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi and RentCafe, as well as platforms like Knock CRM, Elise AI, and AIRM, • High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred, • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, • A sharp, professional appearance, • Must be able to walk the property, which includes climbing stairs, • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, and carry supplies, • Stand for extended periods of time, • Dynamic team leadership and communication abilities, • Working Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, • Working knowledge of Affordable Housing programs, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), • Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner South Oxford Management LLC provides a range of insurance options and benefits for our full-time team members.
