Job Description Department purpose and structure To provide an effective and professional IT 1st line support service to our staff and clients in accordance with the needs of the business. You will be responsible for logging, troubleshooting and resolving incidents and requests as the first point of contact when possible, or escalating incidents to the appropriate team. Key relationships • The Service Desk is the first point of contact for internal customers and external clients, it is essential for the IT Service Desk Analyst to deliver high levels of service to both these groups., • Works closely with Support Team Managers to deliver an efficient and effective service., • The Service Desk Analyst is primarily responsible for the resolution of customer issues raised via phone or email., • Act as a single point of contact for customers contacting the service desk via phone, email or self-service portal, regarding IT issues and queries., • Take responsibility for the resolution of incidents ensuring as many of these are resolved at 1st line as possible, • Maintain an effective working knowledge of incident resolution across all areas of IT Support in order to maximize customer service and first point of contact call resolution., • Ensure that incidents and requests are properly logged, assigned, tracked and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures. Ensure customers and other interested parties are kept informed of progress and that corrective action is taken to avoid or minimize delays., • Ensure accurate and timely updates are recorded and maintained in the IT Service Management System., • Promptly allocate incidents and requests as appropriate., • Follow processes to ensure that a high quality of service is provided to our users, • Working as part of a team in order to provide a white glove service to the users., • Appropriate escalation of incidents and requests to the US Service Desk Manager in line with our processes., • Complete tasks and other assigned work to agreed deadlines., • Ensure customers and other interested parties are kept informed of progress and that corrective action is taken to avoid or minimize delays., • Pass and monitor calls to the appropriate team if cannot be resolved by self and liaise with 2nd/3rd party teams when appropriate and ensure customers are updated of events relating to their call. Follow up until resolved with the assigned., • Build and maintain good customer relationships. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of fulltime experience in accounting relating to construction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or a related field. This position will be full-time, hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area. Roles and Responsibilities • Manage the entire full-cycle accounting process, including contract administration, cash management, job cost accounting, and financial statement preparation, • Assist with government contract administration by reviewing and analyzing contract terms and conditions, tracking contract modifications and change orders, and ensuring compliance with contract billing and revenue recognition requirements, • Create and review invoices for proper GL account selection, authorization for purchases or billing; resolve accounting issues with vendors, clients, and subcontractors., • Ensure accurate reconciliation of cash transactions and effectively manage cash flow for the construction projects., • Assist in maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions for annual audit., • Ensure that payments for reimbursable operational expenses are properly coded to matching revenue accounts., • Prepare invoices for submission to clients., • Support project management and contracts teams to ensure deliverables are met., • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, advanced degree is a plus., • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; at least 2 - 3 years of construction experience strongly preferred., • Strong understanding of principals behind government invoicing, purchase orders, driving payment required., • Experience with SAGE or other relevant software preferred., • Understanding of the general ledger, review of journal entries, and maintenances of account reconciliations., • Understanding of Governmental Accounting and ability to review and reconcile payment breakdowns are required., • Computer literacy including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a prerequisite for the position; and experience with standard ERP systems is required., • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations., • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail., • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response., • · Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)., • · Must be authorized to work in the United States.
