Job Description Arrowmark LLC is seeking a Civil Underground Estimator to join our growing team. We understand that strong estimators often come from the field, and we are actively open to training individuals with underground utility field experience who have ever considered making the transition into estimating. If you have hands-on experience installing water, sewer, storm drain, or dry utilities-and you're interested in learning the estimating side of the industry-we want to talk to you. For experienced estimators, this role will align with typical expectations for private commercial and public infrastructure projects. For candidates coming from the field, Arrowmark will provide training, mentorship, and a clear development path toward becoming a fully capable estimator. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Seek bid documents and maintain communication with prospective clients., • Perform site visits to determine work conditions, limitations, and opportunities., • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from electronic or hard-copy plans., • Develop conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid estimates., • Present and review estimates with upper management for final pricing decisions., • Prepare estimates for new projects and change orders on active contracts., • Revise bids as requested by clients., • Participate in follow-up discussions, negotiations, and award processes., • Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements., • Support project management and field operations when needed., • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Preferred for Experienced Estimators • Minimum 2 years of civil/underground estimating experience. If you have: • Hands-on underground utility experience (wet utilities preferred), • Strong plan-reading ability or willingness to learn, • Good computer skills and willingness to train on estimating software, • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook required), • Valid AZ Driver License with acceptable MVR, • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, • Self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving abilities This role requires extended periods of sitting, computer work, talking, and listening. Occasional light to moderate lifting may be required. Must be able to perform essential job functions.
