Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse – Wound Care Location: New York, NY 10037 Compensation: • Local Pay: Up to $3,037/week (Based on experience) The ideal candidate will possess strong Med/Surg nursing experience, advanced wound care expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care and education. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Wound Care & Patient Management • Conduct focused wound, ostomy, and continence assessments, • Perform physical assessments and develop individualized care plans, • Assess and document patient responses to:, • Wound treatments, • Ostomy care, • Continence management, • Fistula and complex wound interventions, • Recommend appropriate medications, treatments, and preventative interventions, • Routinely assess patients at risk for pressure injuries and implement prevention measures, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patient treatment plans and referralsEducation & Quality Improvement, • Educate patients and families on:, • Wound prevention, • Ostomy care, • Continence management, • Prevention of complications, • Develop and provide staff education programs including:, • Orientation, • In-services, • Continuing education, • Participate in:, • Unit quality improvement initiatives, • Nursing quality activities, • Incidence and prevalence studies, • Promote culturally competent patient and staff educationClinical Leadership & Operations, • Develop, revise, and evaluate standards of wound care practice, • Assist in the evaluation and selection of wound care supplies, equipment, and technology, • Collaborate with nursing leadership regarding best practices and patient care challenges, • Escalate ethical concerns and conflict resolution issues appropriately, • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with patient rights and healthcare regulations, • Manage wound care-related equipment including:, • Specialty beds, • Negative pressure wound therapy devicesRequired Qualifications, • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program, • Active New York State RN License required, • Current AHA BLS Certification required, • Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg nursing experience, • Wound care and colostomy experience requiredRequired Wound Care Certification (One Required), • CWOCN – Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, • CWON – Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse, • CWCN – Certified Wound Care Nurse, • CWS – Certified Wound Specialist, • WCC – Wound Care CertifiedPreferred Qualifications, • Previous acute care wound management experience preferred, • Experience with pressure injury prevention programs preferred, • Strong patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration skills preferred For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
