Job Description Job Summary This position manages accounts receivable, accounts payable, and supports general ledger accounting with substantial experience in cost reporting. It maintains accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and analyzes costs. Supports operations related to the import and export of medical components and devices, ensuring accuracy in landed cost analyses, vendor and customer records. Location: Glen Cove, NY (Long Island) in office only, no hybrid or virtual option. Essential Functions • Record, reconcile, and analyze accounting transactions across AR, AP, and general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP., • Prepare and maintain cost reports, landed cost analysis, freight and tariff allocations., • Reconcile bank accounts and prepare necessary journal entries for month-end and year-end closings., • Process and monitor customer invoices, vendor bills, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely posting., • Maintain and update Excel-based logs for tooling purchases and inventory sent to contract manufacturers, tracking associated costs and ownership records., • Process and maintain customer and vendor credit applications and inquiries., • Generate and maintain product cost tracking and margin analysis reports using Excel, ERP software and databases., • Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure cost accuracy and consistency in reporting., • Provide general financial and administrative support and analysis as needed to the COO and finance team., • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and cost reporting., • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)., • Experience with databases or large data sets for financial reporting., • Strong understanding of cost accounting, landed cost, and inventory valuation; knowledge of international logistics preferred., • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills., • Experience in import-export or manufacturing environment preferred.
