We highly value continued education in fields like Psychology, Social Work, Art Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, or any other related fields. Skills: You should display excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) and have basic technology skills to document observations and monitor progress. Comfort with Daily Living Skills (ADLs): You should feel comfortable assisting individuals with ADLs (activities of daily living) like bathing, dressing, grooming, cooking, and traveling. Training: You must be able to participate in the 5 day NYS Mandated OPWDD initial training during normal business hours (9am-5pm) upon hire. Other Requirements: A tuberculosis test is required before the start date.
