Global leader in outsourced semiconductor packaging and test services is looking for a Senior Engineer – Facilities HVAC, to join their team!! Position Summary : Top Semiconductor packaging and test company is seeking an experienced facilities HVAC Engineer, responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of HVAC systems for OSAT factory. This includes cleanroom air systems, exhaust systems, solvent exhaust abatement, and office HVAC systems. The role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with cleanroom and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities will evolve throughout the project lifecycle, ranging from design and commissioning to full-scale operations, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to each phase. • Collaborate with design consultants to ensure HVAC system requirements are met., • Review engineering drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress., • Support commissioning activities, including equipment preparation and operational testing., • Identify and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up phases., • Manage documentation, manuals, and handover processes for HVAC systems., • Provide operational and maintenance support for RCUs, MUAs, exhaust systems, acid scrubbers, and RCTO solvent abatement systems., • Support office HVAC systems, including AHUs, VAV systems, and respond to temperature-related service calls., • Address HVAC Out-of-Control Action Plan (OCAP) conditions in cleanroom environments (temperature, humidity, particle levels, exhaust pressure)., • Monitor system performance through trend analysis, inspections, and technical reporting., • Research and implement technology upgrades to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety., • Perform system capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities to meet production demands., • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to optimize system performance and energy consumption., • Conduct system evaluations and implement improvements through capital and expense projects., • Maintain accurate documentation for operational and maintenance procedures., • Apply reliability engineering principles, including FMEA and root cause analysis, to improve system performance., • Review tool exhaust design during hook-up phase and perform engineering inspections. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field., • 3+ years of experience in HVAC engineering (design and operations), preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing., • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, exhaust systems, and their controls., • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications., • Familiarity with chilled water systems, cooling towers, and cleanroom standards., • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and Bluebeam., • Strong analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills., • Experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up preferred., • Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus. Physical Requirements: • Ability to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions., • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust heavy objects., • Exposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment., • Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator., • Ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE. Location: This position will be based at the Arizona Tempe and Northern Phoenix sites during the Construction phase and will transition to Northern Phoenix for management during the Factory Operation phase.
