Job Description JOB SUMMARY The IOP Therapist provides clinical assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapy to clients enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Program through means of individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, risk evaluations, and diagnostic screenings in accordance with DSM-5 and ADHS standards. · Develop individualized treatment plans and update them regularly based on client progress and treatment team input. · Facilitate evidence-based group therapy sessions (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care) for adults and/or children in the IOP program. · Provide individual and family therapy to support treatment goals, improve communication, and address barriers to recovery. · Monitor client progress, maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within timelines established by applicable regulations. · Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and coordinate care with BHTs and medical staff. · Utilize crisis intervention skills to ensure client safety and de-escalate situations when necessary. · Attend required training, clinical supervision, and staff meetings as required. · Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE · Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. · Current Arizona license as one of the following: LPC, LAC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, or Psychologist. · Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. · Experience with group facilitation/coordination and crisis intervention techniques. · Level one fingerprint clearance card in the State of Arizona or provide proof of application by hire date. · CPR certification within 30 days of employment. · CPI certification within 30 days of employment. Preferred: · Two (2) or more years of direct clinical experience in an IOP, PHP, or inpatient psychiatric settings. · Experience with DBT skills training, CBT interventions, and trauma-informed care. · Bilingual (English/Spanish) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy along with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. · Should have a professional and personable demeanor. · Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Good spelling and grammar skills. · Requires an ability to work with numbers and mathematical concepts (adding, subtracting, etc.) on a regular basis. · Excellent follow-through skills. Ability to exercise self-control in situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner is beneficial. Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic and be able to move from one task to another. Must be flexible and not easily frustrated in dealing with differences of opinions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near/far vision, ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination. Work environment is subject to interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. Regular attendance is required. Overtime, including weekends, may at times, be required to fulfill duties of position. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. This position is on-site.
