Job DescriptionDescription: Hybrid 2 weeks per month onsite in Jersey City, NJ The organization acts as the investment advisor to a broad family of mutual funds and supports multiple investment communities with research, trading, and portfolio management. A dedicated technology group provides global technology and support to investment management, research, trading, and operations functions across the enterprise. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: Responsibilities • Design and develop Java Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs for a new asset management product., • Implement and maintain an Angular frontend, including bolt-on integrations as needed., • Deploy and operate services on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)., • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and distributed engineering teams., • Apply engineering practices including unit testing, ATDD, automation, CI/CD, and code reviews., • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues to keep delivery on track., • Support and execute all phases of testing through implementation., • Contribute to system design for performance, scalability, reliability, and security., • Engage in Agile ceremonies and foster a learning and innovation culture., • 8+ years of software application development experience, preferably in financial or asset management domains., • Advanced proficiency in Java with Spring/Spring Boot for middle-tier development., • Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and microservices., • Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka., • Proficiency with authentication frameworks and SQL, ideally Oracle., • Frontend development experience with Angular and modern JavaScript practices., • Practical knowledge of unit testing, automation frameworks (e.g., Karate), ATDD, DevOps, CI/CD, and code reviews., • Experience deploying to AWS and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes., • Ability to troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues., • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills across global teams., • Experience on finance-related software projects with a focus on asset management., • Blockchain, Web3, smart contracts (Solidity, Rust), and cryptography experience (preferred)., • Responsive web design, HTML5/CSS3, CSS preprocessors, and cross-browser development experience (preferred)., • Familiarity with MVC frameworks and JavaScript design patterns (preferred)., • Experience with performance-conscious web design techniques such as lazy loading and sprite use (preferred)., • Knowledge of RESTful API best practices and web services patterns (preferred)., • Experience mentoring developers and defining coding standards (preferred)., • Background with large websites, CMS, e-commerce platforms, and backend frameworks (preferred)., • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
