Job Description Job Summary: The Lead IT Application Support Specialist will provide hands-on technical assistance in desktop and laptop support, application and OS installations, and basic network troubleshooting. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft environments, TCP/IPv4 network protocols, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. The technician will support end users, manage tickets through systems like ServiceNow, and maintain clear documentation of all technical activities. Key Responsibilities: • Provide desktop and laptop support for end users., • Install and configure applications, operating systems, and perform imaging as needed., • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including TCP/IPv4 protocol problems., • Handle printer setup, IP configuration, and installation on PCs., • Assist in racking and stacking servers and network equipment (ability to lift up to 40 lbs)., • Use ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) to manage and resolve user issues efficiently., • Maintain organized records and documentation for technical procedures., • Communicate effectively with users via email, Microsoft Teams, and other channels., • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems., • Understanding of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IPv4)., • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow., • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills., • Basic printer configuration and troubleshooting experience., • Experience with Aspen IP21 and RS Linx (advantageous but not required)., • Experience setting up and configuring servers., • Basic SQL database knowledge., • Firewall familiarity sufficient to submit configuration requests/tickets., • ITIL certification or training., • Cisco networking experience.
