Position: Certified Asbestos Investigator Industry: Science Technical Location: Iselin, NJ/ New York, NY Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygiene Professional: • Conducting building inspections and investigations for asbestos and asbestos related hazards., • Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing, • Issuing detail reports in regards to all asbestos related activities on assigned projects., • Handling a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments including regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation oversight, • Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations, • Technical support and report writing What we're looking for: • BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field, • 5-10 years experience managing projects and report writing., • NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification., • NYS DOL Licensed Asbestos Inspector Certification., • Must have strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations as well as NYS,, • Ability to comprehend/review construction drawings, knowledge of building components, • Working knowledge of Excel/Word, • Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices, • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred, • Valid driver's license & good driving record are required., • Company-subsidized medical and dental, • Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability, • 401k match, tuition assistance, and more, • Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects, • Performance-based bonuses or other incentives, • Working with the best and brightest in the industry, • 1,800+ employee national firm with 50+ locations across the US Apex Job Title: Scientist 2 Req ID: 10824 Annual Expected Pay Range$80,000—$100,000 USD We believe in equality for all and celebrate the diversity and differences of our employees, customers, and communities.
