Job DescriptionPosition Summary Prevention Links is seeking motivated undergraduate and graduate students to join our Student Internship Program, offering hands-on experience across multiple program areas, including Family Success Centers, Recovery Support Services, Recovery High School, Data & Reporting, and Marketing & Communications. Interns will be placed within a specific program or center based on organizational needs, supervisor availability, and the candidate’s education level, field of study, and interests. Each intern will remain in their assigned placement for the duration of the internship, gaining focused, hands-on experience in that area. This program provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to community-based initiatives while developing professional skills in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Internship Tracks Applicants must indicate their preferred track(s): Family Success Center (FSC) Intern • Support family-centered programming and community services, • Assist with client intake, referrals, and resource navigation, • Coordinate workshops, events, and engagement activities, • Maintain documentation and support service trackingRecovery Support / Social Work Intern, • Assist with client support, referrals, and intake processes, • Participate in case management and service coordination, • Support recovery and wellness programming, • Assist with documentation and service planningRecovery High School Program Intern, • Support student engagement and program activities, • Assist with case coordination and student support services, • Participate in recovery-focused and educational programming, • Provide administrative and program support as neededAdministration Intern (Data, Marketing & Communications Focus), • Assist with data entry, validation, and quality assurance, • Support program reporting and outcome tracking, • Utilize Excel and/or databases to organize and analyze data, • Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and summaries, • Support social media content creation and scheduling, • Assist with outreach campaigns and community engagement, • Help develop flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials, • Associate’s Degree Candidate, • Bachelor’s Degree Candidate, • Master’s Degree Candidate (MSW, MPH, or related fields)Key Responsibilities, • Provide program and administrative support within assigned placement, • Assist with outreach, events, and community engagement, • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and data tracking, • Participate in team meetings and collaborative projects, • Strong communication and organizational skills, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Prior coursework or experience in public health, social services, or nonprofit settings, • Interest in data analysis, reporting, or Excel (Data-focused roles), • Interest in marketing, communications, or social media (Marketing-focused roles)Additional Requirements, • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, • Ability to travel between program locations (if applicable), • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred, • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds, • Must adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality, and documentation standards, • Family Success Centers (FSC): Associate-level students and Social Work interns, • Recovery Support Services: Bachelor-level students (BSW, Public Health, or related fields), • Recovery High School Program: Bachelor-level and Master’s-level Social Work interns (BSW/MSW), • Hands-on experience in public health and community-based services, • Exposure to nonprofit operations and program development, • Professional development and networking opportunities, • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community
