Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. Job Summary: The Project Engineer supports the successful execution of building controls projects by coordinating design, installation, and commissioning activities. This role ensures project requirements are met by reviewing technical documentation, supporting subcontractors and field teams, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining quality across all phases of the project. The Project Engineer works cross-functionally to manage schedules, materials, and technical deliverables, while providing proactive communication and solutions to keep projects on track and aligned with specifications and customer expectations. Responsibilities: • Identifies and resolves potential project issues during design, submittal, and installation phases of the project., • Coordinates with Subcontractors or internal installation team to achieve maximum value in installations including point to point check out and all the documentation that is involved., • Troubleshoot and provide resolutions to mechanical and installation issues that can come up when executing the static and dynamic start up and commissioning of building controls., • Provide information proactively and support to subcontractors and other trade contractors on the project site., • Review and quality check graphics and programming to meet the sequence of operations per specifications., • Provide and ensure implementation of startup documentation including, check out logs, commissioning documents, etc. as required for assigned projects., • Ensure database backups are created and saved on the network share drive., • Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner., • Review the as-built drawings for the accurate preparation of the close out documents., • Coordinates and lays out work with Subcontractors or internal installation team to achieve maximum value in installations., • Reviews all project documents and deliverables. Including Scope, Plans, Specification, Contract Documents, Design Submittals., • Reviews Sales Estimates and forecast re-estimates as required., • Attend all project meetings as required by the Customer., • Walk the projects to know the status of the installation and to prepare for the project meetings., • Review design submittal packages with the Design specialist to ensure it meets project specifications., • Communicate with external organizations as required such as commissioning agents, fire marshals, consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors to facilitate the pre-commissioning and commissioning process., • Invoice projects timely and is actively engaged in collections to minimize aging., • Coordinate material orders and timing with Material Coordinator to maximize material handling efficiency. Ensures all equipment is compatible and will function properly to achieve the required sequences., • Provide input to sales and operations regarding the technical aspects of the project. This input could be associated with areas such as estimating, value engineering, scheduling, special resource needs, or other aspects particular to specific projects., • Communicate to the customer and supervisors proactively regarding the project status. Provide solutions to avoid schedule and Milestone misses., • Accurately estimate manpower needs for the duration of the project and communicate to supervisors on weekly scheduling meetings., • Develop and Finalize Project schedules., • Secure and review Estimates from Subcontractors, • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • Minimum of a two-year technical degree in HVAC, Mechanical or Electronics related studies. Or Five years of industry related experience, specifically in the capacity of a lead systems specialist, Design or Software Engineer., • Other technical experience such as military, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management., • An understanding of computer operating systems including MS Office Suite of products., • An understanding of ACAD, or similar program/software., • Proficient working with electronic troubleshooting equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc., • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams., • A working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers, multi- phase power, etc. (120VAC and greater), • Experience with programming and the ability to troubleshoot networking issues is a plus., • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing., • A thorough understanding of HVAC systems and how they operate., • Understanding Project Specifications and requirements., • Ability to read and understand constructions documents, such as Plans, Specs, Contract requirements, Architectural and electrical drawings., • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to Team members., • Ability to successfully resolve conflicts and protect Bosch Building Technologies’ financial interests., • Strong awareness of Bosch Building Technologies’ culture and the culture of the industry in which we work. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in HVAC, Mechanical or Electronics related studies, • 2+ years of experience with ACAD, or similar program/software., • 2+ years of experience programming and the ability to troubleshoot networking issues is a plus., • 2+ years of experience with constructions documents, such as Plans, Specs, Contract requirements, Architectural and electrical drawings.
